Hi all, Willow's still doing ok although a bit of possible difficulty eating amps (more chewing and dropping bits).

Has anyone experienced their cat dropping "buttons" when on lactulose? Willow dropped 4 tiny ones through the evening/last night on the floors, and another apparently came out while she peed in her LB sometime overnight. Could this be the lactulose? Only 1.5cc twice daily, just on it over a week and reducing it. She's also getting a tiny bit of transdermal codeine twice daily...

Hope you're all doing well and wishing you and your kitties a great day of safe surfing! With love, Nikki

Why reducing it? Isn't better to keep her going so she doesn't get constipated? Are they hard buttons?
No, that's the problem...they're soft little poops I don't know if she even feels them...maybe 1/2 inch or less. Well formed, not liquid or *too* soft (my issue before the constipation was too soft poops that stuck to her). Lactulose helps motility to an extent, and I don't know if she knows they're even there (no chance for them to wait/accumulate in the colon, I mean).
Such a fine line...

Olive accumulate s, so when she finally goes it's a long one 4-5+ inches. No peristalsis (sp??) to move it through. Hoping the cisipride gets here quickly and it works.
