Unfortunately she is sometimes flinching at the insulin now, partial fur shot this am, saw large drop on fur, maybe 1/2 of insulin went in cat. How bad is this going to mess with her dose? Should I give a tiny bit more on Pm dose? Large drop was approx .25 on her fur, maybe more, basing this on what would appear at end of needle at 2-3 tiny turns of plunger.

Let it be. We dose based on nadirs, not whatever her preshot will be. Give the same dose in the PM. Fur shots happen. And sometimes you get in more insulin than you think you did. Her numbers may or may not be a bit higher.

On the spreadsheet, mark the dose as 0.75 FS so we know you think there was a fur shot.

Thanks, I noted in remarks, but will add the FS.

Fur shots stink! She'll rebound. Since it takes about 4-6 cycles for the new depot to fill, the cycle count starts over with a fur shot.

I so get it with the lack of sleep.... taking care of ourselves is important too. I still don't get more than 3-4 straight hours of sleep and it's been years. Bubba wakes me on cue for his midnight snack. I need to get him used to the auto feeder again, but something tells me he will still wake me up.

Hang in there, you are in good company with sleepy heads. All we can do is the best we can . :bighug:
