I was reading you're having trouble getting Leo to eat some foods. I use FortiFlora (you can get it on Amazon) I just tap a tiny bit ,a dusting on Ravan's food & it gets him to eat 98% of the time.

I posted a lot of info about what i give Ravan for Kidney disease, on Bellasmom's post yesterday. Also Videos & web sites I've found helpful. If you have any questions I'd be Happy to help :)

Thank you Joy, I didn't think about Fortiflora, what a good idea, I'm going to order some tonight. Yes, I read through all the info you posted on Bellasmom's condo, it's very helpful.
Thank you, thank you!

Joy, is it the Purina ProPlan Fortiflora from Amazon?

Yes it is. I hope it works for Leo!
Sometimes Ravan just goes off his food for a day & "nothing" will get him to eat. I've learned to just let him be for the day. He always gets hungry by evening.

I recently tried the Alnutrin ( maybe you read about it in Bellas post?)He loved it at first but now he barely touches it.

The Purina Pro Plan Focus Urinary Tract Health Formula is 4% carbs & 187 Phosphorus the best I found so far.
Amazingly all 3 of my kitties will eat it . They're not crazy about it but a spoonful here & there. I wonder if Purina adds the FortiFlora to it?

I try not to push too much food with Ravan. He's always been a good weight. 13 -14 lbs. Right now I'm feeding less because he's looking too chubby.
I've read that cats should be on the thinner side It's much healthier for them (for us too!) I'm always work'in on that!

I've always felt dry food was not natural to feed any animal It was created for our convenience. Now with Ravan's Kidney disease I am never going near any dry food. Not even treats.

For Ravan a treat is me loving him , & maybe a piece of raw liver or chicken!

I just peeked at Leo's SS He's looking better already!!:D A few more days & will see what this dose does.

Have a relaxing evening :cat:

It's going to take a couple of days for the Fortiflora to get here so I'm going to go buy some from our vet tomorrow, that way I can get him started right away. He still eats as much as usual, it's just that he will only eat Kawa booty (tuna) now. He used to eat an assortment of 6 different kinds but slowly went off them. That included 3 different low phos ones and those are the ones I want him to eat :banghead: I've been baking chicken for him and using that as a treat since the Purebytes were being sprinkled on everything but I'm going to try some raw and see what he thinks.
Thanks again for your help :bighug: hope you have a great evening!
