Good morning!
AMPS 128 shooting 2.25u
Boomer ate all of his overnight food, leaving about a tsp.
Today on the Bean's agenda.....I'm leaving home early to go to an area only 5 minutes away where I'm hoping to see some coyotes, hopefully from the comfort of my car! I've learned from a friend of a friend (who goes there pretty much every day) where they appear each morning (close to their den) and where they usually go from there. Not counting on having success the first time.
Two days ago when I was walking through this same area, I looked up into a tree hoping to spot the Downy Woodpecker that I had heard. I saw the Downy but also....a duck....in a tree! Very strange....until I zoomed in on my camera and saw that it was a female Wood Duck. My immediate thought was....I wonder if it's mate is around. He was, on a different branch. Wood Ducks often nest in trees as high as 60 feet above ground. The day after the eggs hatch, the babies jump to the ground.
