Yesterday
After a near-perfect day yesterday, we're starting just a little higher this AM, but back in the green pretty quickly.
Shaddie went to the vet yesterday for his dental work; they had to extract all but three teeth. Poor guy, his little mouth is a mess and he doesn't quite know how to work it yet. After his (near liquid) supper last night his ruff was a mess because he dribbled so much.
So now we've got two cats on meds, which we mix with their food, AM & PM, so it's a shell game trying to keep them from eating out of each others' bowls. Must be a thing with cats; no matter how much they love what they have, they still have to see what the other guy has, just in case. Even if it's exactly the same food!
Fortunately Shaddie's AB is only for 12 days, not the 30 I had expected, so that's good. Benny still has a couple weeks left, along with his ear drops, which he hates. I need to find a different spot to administer the ear drops; I've been giving them in the same place as I do his testing, and usually just after I test, so he's starting to get skittish. He's still mostly cooperative, I just need to make sure I block him from backing out of my grasp - he's a slippery little thing when he wants to be; just goes completely boneless!
Ah, a day in the life of a cat family!
