Hello all, Willow didn't have spasms or pains again last night, had an overall good day yesterday, and started off this morning on her mat and hungry :) Started off blue, hope the reduction holds.
Hope you all had a great night and wishing you and your kitties a day of safe surfing :) With love, Nikki

Well, that was short lived. Left for 1/2 hr to run to pet store, came back to a stinking room, a litter with a *lot* of unformed stool/diarrhea blobs, a pee spot with blood in it, bloody pee spots on the carpet and food vomited on the rug. Cleaned it up while she "relaxed"; gave bupe because she was spasming, then took +3.25 BG of 79 and washed her up.
She's been on meds since her vet visit Saturday for the UTI, and really thought she was improving yesterday and today. Now lunch, then vet chasing. Wish us luck.

I'm sorry Willow is still having problems. Have you tried giving her D-Mannose along with the AB for the UTI? It is an over the counter supplement in the US. I've given it to Furball before for a UTI. It binds to the bacteria and removes it. I Willow feels better soon. Sending prayers.

Tbis is the dose I used for bella and abby and it really helped, d-mannose

https://www.vetinfo.com/d-mannose-for-cats.html

-D Mannose is available as a powder that is mixed with water and administered orally. Products containing this sugar can be purchased either from independent health food shops or from alternative health clinics. Even though it can also be administered with milk, water improves the effectiveness of D-Mannose. The recommended dosage is of 2g or a level teaspoon, 4 times a day, one hour apart. The symptoms of feline urinary infections improve after only one day. This treatment may need to be repeated if the symptomsoccur again or if they do not completely disappear after the first day.

Thank you both @carfurby and @Bellasmom , |I will try to pick up some d-mannose asap. Can it be given at the same time as antibiotics? and can it just be sprinkled and mixed in her canned food? She really doesn't like to be syringed, and I"m trying not to stress her.
I will also look into uromax.
With love, Nikki.

Question on Sulcrate Plus ... is this going to affect her blood glucose? Spoke with the vet about today's episode of diarrhea and vomiting, she switched meds from ClavaSeptin to Baytril, and also wants me to give the sulcrate to coat her and help protect her digestive system from the meds. I asked her if it was fine for diabetics, and she said yes, but...
I also refused her offer of a "gastric diet" and the Convenia injection.
Thanks so much, with love, Nikki

I gave it to Furball the same time I gave the AB. You can try sprinkling it in her food, but I'm not sure if it can be tasted. I put the powder in capsules when I gave it to Furball.

I didn't see anything in my quick check about dosing separately, but I feel like I remember reading somewhere that it shouldn't be taken with other medications (at least an hour before or after?). Since I can't find anything about it, don't quote me on that. Anywhoo, I just gave Lou his dose mixed right into his food, and he seemed to either not notice, or loved it, so no problems there! Unfortunately, I don't know anything about sulcrate. I am so sorry Willow is still having problems. Poor sweet girl. I hope she starts feeling better ASAP!

Thank you :) Willow is great at eating supplements mixed in her food, so hopefully that will work again. I'll look into the "when" a bit more. Right now, she's on so many meds/supplements pretty much every meal is accounted for :( She's on egg yolk powder, SEB powder, miralax, pumpkin, zobaline, and now antibiotics and possibly the sulcrate, plus I'm looking at uromaxx and d-mannose. Oh, and I should start her on a probiotic. This is sounding a bit crazy lol). Thanks for thinking of her :)

Oh goodness! That is a lot! I would just feed it where you can for now unless someone tells you differently. You've got too much on your plate to worry about that if you don't need to!
