Well, now I'm scared. I have an appointment today for a U/A, and I plan to get blood pressure (never been done) and full bloodwork (done in another hospital in November) plus extra tests that weren't done...Phosphorus, Calcium, and electrolytes (Potassium etc) because I want to check her kidneys (I think she still may pee too much for a well-regulated cat). Also, if she's going to the vet, it might as well be worth the stress it will cause her (really stressed at the vet).
Now, I check her urine for ketones at least once weekly, and last one was a week ago today, later in the day; it was somewhat turbid, but yellow. Today's first morning urine catch was really, really bloody with clots.
Scared because she's so nicely regulated I don't think her numbers reflect the inflammation and pain she would be feeling if this were that bad a UTI; yes she's occasionally uncomfortable, but not to the extent I think you'd see with that. So, I asked them to check especially for abnormal cells, and am worried.
Hoping you all had a good night, and wishing you and your kitties a day of safe surfing! With love, Nikki
