Merlin's BG numbers are still in a decline and I am less than 4 hours from my PM shot and I expect it will be in the low 100's. At this point I don't know what to do. He's not regulated enough for me to feel comfortable giving a regular dose. The last time he was in this range and I didn't give him any insulin he shot up to 534 which was really scary. I don't want to repeat that night. I give him his shots at 6 AM and 6 PM. HELP! I need experienced advice so I can make an informed decision on what to do.

Hi, I don't give dosage advise as I'm new here, but to catch peoples attention quickly go to the "thread tools" button on the upper right of your screen, press edit thread, then in the black pop up box use the prefix drop-down menu to add a "?" to your title. People often scan for this rather than reading the full titles, and it grabs their attention :)
Also, if you need a question answered very quickly or it's an emergency, use the "911" prefix. In both cases remove the prefix once your question has been answered.
Good luck! merlin's a cutie :)
With love, Nikki

When is 6 PM for you, what time zone? We have people all around the world on here.

Lantus is great at keeping low numbers flat. As you have discovered, skipping with low numbers isn’t a good idea. What number would you feel comfortable shooting? Lantus does better with consistent dosing.

There is still something going on with your SS as it is not viewable from the link.

If you need help, please send me a private message and I can fix it for you. To send me a PM, click on “Marje and Gracie” to the left and “start a conversation”.

@Marje and Gracie -- I'm able to open the SS. I don't know if Steve fixed something or if it's an issue on your end.

For those of us who have followed TR for a while, we would shoot anything above 50. However, you need to feel confident in your ability to do so and be available to monitor. Like Wendy suggested, do you have a number you feel comfortable shooting? We encourage people to work their way down to shooting low numbers vs jumping into the deep end of the pool without knowing how to swim.

Thanks, Sienna. Yes, I’m getting an “access denied” message so the link is not set up correctly.
