Happy Caturday everyone!

And we're off to another high start for Luci - I'm calling her Miss Yellow Pants...she at least did visit the lagoon last night for a couple of hours! :D How nice for her..not so nice for the rest of us...but she safely returned to the beach without getting into it with the sharkies.

DH on the other hand is a bit grumpy - his knee is sore and the physical therapists are visiting our home daily to take him thru a series of exercises. We're hopeful that it will be, as they've predicted, better today and each day going forward...the first three are supposed to be the worst - and they have been. I've been juggling both of my patients here...and trying to work...guess which one suffers the most...work of course.. :arghh: Work will be there on Monday but it's frustrating when little to nothing is getting done so hopefully Monday things will be better...(Luci will go into Remission and DH will be able to walk with only his cane) LOL

Prayers and vines to those in need.:bighug::bighug:

Signed, the eternal optimist

I also like your plan and perhaps will adopt it as my own....Boomer will go into remission, DH will be 100% better and renovations will be complete.
Luci, I know all the kitties seem to be hanging out in the trees today but how about heading to the beach instead?

Sue, tell your DH to hang in there, the first week is  but it does get better. I had knee replacement 19 years ago (6th surgery) and I know methods have improved since then. He is going to feel so much better then day by day. Keep him doing those exercises, it makes all the difference in the world, even though it's hard. Hugs to you for taking such good care of both of your patients! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

The people I know who have had knees replaced all say the physical therapy is the key to a good recovery. They say do everything the PT says. A co-workers dad went in to have his knee done. They shaved the area and marked it, then did the wrong knee. Then they did the correct knee at the same time.

Hope your Monday plan works out!

OMG! I hope the 'wrong' knee needed to be done as well! Otherwise I'd have been on the phone to a lawyer...how could they go so far as to prep/mark the right knee and then proceed to do the wrong one??? I watched the surgeon sign DH's knee...shaved it all up, etc. they seemed intent on getting the correct knee prepped for surgery ...thank goodness they got it right! Hate to hear those horror stories...but I know they happen...sadly :(

The other knee did need to be done. He just wasn’t planning on being off work for the extended recovery of having both done at the same time. I have no idea how they got the wrong one, when one had been carefully prepped and the other nothing. The Dr. said he would only charge 1/2 price for the second knee. I think the whole thing should be free.

I suppose it could have been worse - like an amputation or some other debliitating operation. Still, that is a pretty bad mistake to replace the wrong knee. I think the whole operation should have free as well - to avoid a malpractice lawsuit.
