Good morning!
AMPS 108 shooting 2.0u

Yet another pj party last night, luckily I thought to test him at +2 and he had already dropped 50 points when he is normally level/up. Feeding him at +2 then giving high carb at +3 kept him surfing in good numbers and he and I slept on the couch between tests.

On the schedule for the Beans today.....contractor is painting the bedroom; he finished an accent wall yesterday so today hopefully he will finish the rest of the room. Bathroom is on hold until the tile guy comes tomorrow. DH appt is mid-morning so I'll test Boomer earlier than the normal +3 in order to determine whether I can go with DH or not.

+2 88
I was going to give Boomer some higher carb ff to keep him from dropping in the next hour (so that I could go with DH) but DH wants me to stay at home with Boomer.

I will test again and feed before +3; since he's already dropped at +2 it looks like he has plans for me again today.

So a little less noise today. That's always nice. Hope to get to go with hubby today.
Yes, the first 4 days were pretty bad and Boomer spent most of the day under the bed in the spare bedroom. Since then he's been either on the bed or on the desk under the window.
Monday will be stressful for him; the guys will be starting to move the bathroom cabinets in and in order to maneuver them through our bedroom door and into the bathroom they will have to have the other bedroom door open. So I either leave Boomer in that room knowing he will hide under the bed because of the strangers nearby, or I put him in the carrier and keep him in some other part of the house. Neither option is good and I honestly can't decide which would be less stressful for him.

I would pick carrier option. You don't want to chance him getting out or stepped on. Once the cabinets are all in the house than you can open the carrier in other part of house. Is there a room in other part you can close a door to, like laundry, basement the other bathroom?

Oh I just don't get it.
+3 86
He dropped a whole 2 points in the last hour. And I didn't give him food at +2. Normally when he's lower at +2 than PS, it's a sign that he's dropping fast. Apparently now that I've figured that out, he's going to change things.

The cabinets are already in the house taking up a corner of my living room for the last several days. So it's just while they are maneuvering the cabinets in through the bedroom door.
I guess I could put the carrier in the laundry room; at least he would be by himself and the guys wouldn't be making that much noise (well except the one guy talks very loudly lol).

I think Boomer likes a bit of excitement! His BG is better than ever! :)

Oh it's so hard when there's those strange noises going on. When we were still at the apartment, they were residing the building and the noise was absolutely atrocious. Besides the pounding noises, the guys were stupidly loud talkers and the lead guy (who was the loudest) thought he was exceptionally funny when I doubt he was. They were boisterous, and while I'm glad they were making the job fun, they weren't getting through it nearly fast enough. The cats were miserable, but it did get better in the end. I would say the carrier, although hard, is probably the best bet. I stressed myself out during the move afraid someone would inadvertently step on or let out the cats. This way you know exactly where he is and that he's safe. I hope he keeps surfing safely for you!

AH HA. That's why he didn't move between +2 and +3. +5 153 he was starting a bounce!

It's quite cold out but sunny and I managed to get out with my camera. Found a Red-Headed Duck in the pond where the Wood Duck had been hanging out. And found some Redpolls hanging in a tree near the river.

Yup. Boomer is a :cat:.

I agree that the carrier is the best of the alternatives, especially since it will only be for a brief period of time.

Saw a flock of interesting birds today, eating crabapples left on the trees since the fall. I'm trying to find them in my bird book.
