Dosing help please:(

I have no idea where to go from here. I feel pudge is always in the purples. 1u brings him down so quickly and low that it doesn’t seem like a safe option but I don’t feel we are making any progress with 0.75u. I realize looking back I made some errors with not giving dose reductions etc. I am still learning so please be gentle :). I have printed the SLGS stickies so I am more accurate for when to give dose reductions. I am also trying to get more testing in but my partner and I’s work schedule only allows for so much. I would love to do TR but I don’t think I would be as consistent as I need to be. I am trying to get more numbers on our days off (Sunday and Monday).
Pudge has been having a pancreatitis flare up lately and the vet recommend going to 1.5u but I feel that is way too much.
The first round of diabetes came and went into remission so quick that I feel discouraged that we haven’t gotten there again. I’m just looking for some input based on our SS lately on what people feel would be a good dose and where to go from here.
Thank you for all your help!

I'm not sure that it would be a good move to double the insulin dose.
It's really hard to figure out what's going on with the limitted data.
On SLGS you really need to aim to get a curve once a week.
It's great that you are planning to test more on your days of, run a curve one of those days, or both those days.
Additionally to build a picture a just before bed test would be really great. Yesterday when you shot yellow in the pm it would have been interesting to see what happened after that, given that he is so high this morning, I suspect he may have dropped quite a bit lower. I am extra suspicious because last night was 6 cycles from when he last saw that low blue, so he he would have been due to clear a bounce, and he looked like he might have been flat yellow in the morning (amps and pmps are so similar), a flat yellow cycle can in some cats precede an active cycle.

Schedule wise are you out for 12hours between amps and pmps? Any chance of being able to get a +1 or +2, or +10+11? If you guys can grab anything you can during the week it will really help to build a picture, at the moment it's hard to know what's going on.

Is he eating? or are you struggling with that?
Is he lethargic? Although he had DKA quite a while ago having had it before concerns me. Do you test for ketones? If not I would strongly recommend you start doing that, because if he is not getting enough food, and not enough insulin, with the Pancretitis flare, he is starting to have the recipie for ketones developing again. You can test for ketones with the ketostix, or with a blood ketone monitor. As you are away for so much of the day, it might be easier with a blood ketone meter, catching him in the LB having a pee might prove problematic.
I would make this a priority given the current situation.

Also I'm just going to tag @Marje and Gracie so she can have a look at your ss for you. I can't see the US numbers, which is what most of us are familiar dealing with, I hope she'll be able to fix it for you remotely.

Yes insulin at 7am and 7pm. I am usually gone to work from 8:30-9am and I get home at 7pm and partner is gone at 7am and isn’t home until 10:30pm. Usually once during the week I am off at 5 or I start work a little later and those are the days you will usually see a +3 in the morning as I try and snag a test before leaving. I am trying to change work schedules to better accommodate pudge but it’s a slow process. The +3/4 in the evening is usually the before bed test. I will try and get more of those!

I also thought 1.5u would be too much as well. Thank you for letting me know about the flat yellows, I didn’t know that.

Yes I test for ketones weekly given his history. I tested three times this week just to be safe and all were negative thankfully. He is definitely lethargic but still has had an appetite. He didn’t have an appetite last week but cerenia and bup. seemed to help as his appetite was back rather quickly. Yesterday he had a vomiting episode right before I left for work and puked probably 3 times in 10 minutes so he did have cerenia yesterday as well.

The reason why we aren’t seeing the US numbers on the SS is that you started a new World SS with no associated US SS. I can fix this for you if you give me editing rights. I’ll send you a private message. Please check your inbox in a few minutes.
