OT : My mom almost fell again last night while I was getting her all ready for bed.....sigh... I can't take my eyes off of her for a minute if she is standing. GEEZ

mom almost fell again last night

My mom had Parkinson's. One night she crawled over the bed guard (was supposed to keep her in the bed) I'm sleeping in the next room & hear this loud smack on the floor! She was laying next to the bed on the wood floor.
Mom was tiny 4"11" maybe 100 lbs but I could not get her up onto the bed.I pulled all the blankets & pillows onto the floor & we both slept there. Next morning I had to ask a neighbor to help me get her up.

I sympathize with you! I know how difficult it is to be a caretaker.It's been 8 years since she died & I still want to call her on the phone. I miss her & would do it all over again if I could.
(Funny thing is we never got along. She was "verbally abusive" to me all my life.)

Oh my...that's tough. I'll send you my mom's phone number...you can call her...she's quite the handful...88, dementia...disagreeable on every turn. Mostly is 20 minutes of arguing...just because...nothing is as it should be... oh well..don't mean to hijack this condo with those tales of woe...
