Ti-Mousse is doing good, so I don't want to mess up....
One day next week I have to go out of town; Ti-Mousse will get his morning shot but I won’t be on time for the evening one. How long can you delay a shot without impacting the next one?

If I am a couple of hours late, can I give him his shot or is it better to just skip it? Tks

It's OK to shoot late, the only problem is that it knocks you of schedule so you have to work your way back, 15min a cycle (or 30min a day).
If her numbers were high then you could move the shot time a little more quickly but it would depend on where she was at the next shot time, and there's no gaurantee.
The problem if you shoot early is that it can act as a slight dose increase on the following cycle.

So the real question is it going to be a problem for you to be of schedule?

Let's say I'm shooting 7:30 am and 7:30 pm; if, for that day, the pm shot is at 9:30 instead of 7:30, I was thinking of reducing a bit the next day AM shot, as it will be a 10 hour cycle instead of 12. Then continue with regular dosing at 7:30! Can't I do this, instead of working my way back each night cycle by 15 min. ?

I don't think it would be advisable. Due to overlapping of doses he could end up with too much insulin on board.

You may be able to shoot up to an hour early if he was in high yellow or pink, with flat or rising numbers.

Another alternative would be to do two 18hr cycles.

So if you usually shot at 7.30pm you would delay the shot till 1.30am and then no shot the next morning, shooting back on schedule at 7.30pm the next day.

Intake there isn't anyone that could do the shot for you? I've got a neighbor that sometimes helps me out.i thought her to test and shoot.

Thank you for explaining all this and also the 18hr cycles! Now, I'll see what's the best solution for him..:cat: Unfortunately, there is nobody to help me with my Ti-Mousse !
