Good morning!
AMPS 146 shooting 2.25u
Boomer ate most of his overnight food, leaving about 1/3 of a serving.
Today is the 5th anniversary of the day we took Boomer in to see Dr Larry because we noticed that Boomer had lost weight. When Dr Larry called in the evening with the results of the b/w, I told him "please do not tell me it's CKD" (having lost 2 cats to CKD within the previous 2 years with the most recent one being only 5 months before). He said "no, his kidneys are fine. He is diabetic." I was stunned. I had not seen the signs, though DH said he had suspected it. Very stressful time; we had a 2 week vacation booked for the following month and a shy kitty that I knew would not let anyone else test. Long story but the end result was a wonderful cat sitter that came in twice a day but Boomer would not let her shoot so he was off of insulin for those 2 weeks (not good I know but no choice and a lot less stressful for me being away from home and knowing no one was monitoring for 12 hour periods). Since then he's been in remission 3 times and I can actually say now that all five Ps are in place since he recently started playing! Many thanks to the members of the FDMB who have helped us through these last 5 years!!!
It's going to be nasty here today; right now its snowing and quite windy but ice rain is expected. DH's appt is 11:40 (+4.5) and I think it might be a nasty walk.
Yesterday I got out in the afternoon; the light was terrible but I knew it might be my only chance for the next few days. There has been a Wood Duck spotted (in a heated pond in one of our parks) for several days; I've been there 5 times within the last few days and didn't see it
Well the 6th visit was the charm and despite the horrible light that was present I managed to get a few decent shots. This is a male Wood Duck with breeding colours.

How about you be nice and stop dropping?
I'm glad DH made it there and back safely. Stay warm and safe!
