? 2/8 - Wally - PMPS: 113, +1: 125, +3: 80, +3.5: 57, +4: 64, +4.5: 68, +5: 67, +5.5: 71, +6: 79

Wally did not earn a reduction, that happens when they go below 50. Since you gave high carb at that 57, we don’t know if he would have gone below 50. Typically we save high carb for under 50.

Tonight’s lower numbers look like a bit of the 8.5 unit dose, and quite a bit of the effects of breaking a bounce, which typically means a cycle with more downward momentum. He did the same the night of Jan 26th. The 8.0 unit dose wasn’t doing a lot for him, no reason to think it would now.

Hyperthyroidism makes it harder to regulate, but not to the size dose Wally is at. He isn’t on that lrge a dose for a high dose cat. We have seen some over 80 units of insulin.

I would grab another test 30 minutes from the 67 @+5 since you fed at +4. You want to see them go 2 hours after the last food to make sure they are out of the woods.

ETA: just saw your post above and the feeding at +3.5 so I would get one at 5.5 just to cover your bases.

Looking good, a nice surf. As Wendy said, usually the HC is reserved for when kitties go under 50 on a human meter. With the extra high carbs on board, we won't know if he could have gone below.

Good job monitoring him tonight. :cat: I think you are safe to get some sleep. See you tomorrow!
