Good morning! :coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee:
AMPS 185 shooting a reduced dose of 2.25u
Had yet another pj party with Boomer last night; he told me in no uncertain terms that removing the "fat" from the previous dose was not good enough and he deserved a full reduction:rolleyes: And almost gave the Bean a heart attack:eek::eek::eek:

Looks like he went straight up last night. I did leave a bit of high carb food mixed in with his regular food when I went to bed. And DH and I slept in until +11 and DH forgot to pick up the "buffet" when he got up to start the coffee, so Boomer did have access to food/higher carb right up until AMPS.

Yesterday DH's first treatment went well.....it apparently lasts 8 minutes. We walk to and from the appointment; parking charges are ridiculous and it gets us both some exercise. Today's appt is even later, 5:20 (+10.5).

We're under an ice raining warning right now so today will be an indoor chore day.

Did I mention previously that our contractor is starting our bathroom renovation on Tuesday? It's our ensuite and a complete gut job. It's going to be a long two weeks.

Today's photo is of a squirrel  ok sometimes they can be cute. To quote one of my Instagram followers who saw this image last night.... "wook at his wittle face". :joyful::joyful::joyful::rolleyes:

Congrats on the reducie Boomer!! Guess he wasn't too subtle about telling you to do more than skinny dose.

Glad that DH treatments are going well. How nice that you walk there for exercise. Parking charges at hospitals are ridiculous. In Philadelphia at Will's Eye Hospital, the practice you are seeing inside the hospital will validate the ticket so it is a lot less. You might ask his practice.

Good luck with the bathroom reno. What a mess they are, with all the removal of old tile....so dusty , but so worth when they are done!

Great photo! We don't see many black squirrels!

I was going to say the same thing! I don't think I've seen a black squirrel before, but gosh is he cute. Congrats on the reducie! At least Boomer is clear about what he wants instead of beating around the bush, but gosh being direct can be hard on the heart. I am so glad DH has started treatments. It's nice that they're so quick and that you can walk. I've talked to patients who go in for infusions of some kind and it's an 8 hour ordeal, at least. We don't have any charge for parking around here. That seems absolutely asinine, especially for what you pay for office visits, etc. Do you know why they charge for parking?

I hope Boomer comes back down for you and surfs safely!

Boomer doesn't beat around the bush. He is direct, I like that in a cat.

Hysterical photo. Thanks for the laugh.

Parking at hospitals here are interesting. If you do self parking it's like $1.25 an hour. Use valet parking and it's free. I always use valet.

Really Boomer, 30! No need to scream for attention.
Congrats on the reduction, he left you in no doubt that time did he?

Love the Squirrel photo, what a face, he looks dark and a bit coppery, is he a red squirrel?

Continued vines for DH

I live in a city so we have more than one hospital, but the one I went to had free ER parking. If you parked in the "red garage" the parking was free. It's what a lot of the outpatient doctors suggest to their patients who are coming in for normal procedures. When my mom was staying at another hospital a few years ago they gave us a ticket at the desk that wiped out the parking garage fee. I don't understand having to pay for parking anywhere, much less at a hospital!

I've seen a couple completely white squirrels in the parks around here!

WoW boomer ! Maybe you need a reminder of who's down in the Lagoon! Shark bubbles.gif

Nice that DH only has 8 mins for a treatment! Better than waiting around for Hours :)

I LOVE the photo of the Squirrel ! My squirrels looks so ordinary, brown & fat from all the peanuts I give them. This little guy is so CUTE!

Don't even get me started on parking fees - I have to pay for the privilege of parking at work. Almost $400 a year... and it's not like we're in an urban area where parking is hard to come by. It's small town Indiana.

...and congrats on the reducie, Boomer! Looks like he is even skipping a bounce.

Better than me. $420 a year for the uncovered lot. If I am eligible for the covered ramp, then it's $480 a year. The city charges you to park anywhere in the downtown area, but it's free everywhere else.
Yikes. I guess I am at least able to use the garage that's attached to our building which is really nice in the wintertime. But it's first come first serve and since I don't usually teach early in the morning, I oftentimes don't get a spot there. I am just glad that I don't have to run home over lunch to test and feed at the moment. That always meant giving up my parking spot.

The parking situation/costs at the hospitals is something that all Canadians complain about. I'm not sure whether the parking garages are owned by the hospitals or whether they're private. We have 4 hospitals. As I tend to say about everything these days, it's all a ploy to rid me of my money.
At any rate, we're only a 10 minute walk from the hospital where the cancer centre is located.

Off topic: Thought you might enjoy hearing what premium parking for faculty/staff at the University of Michigan is for this year: $1,845 for the closest structure parking - there's a graduated downward trend for parking in far far away lots - as little as $84 - but it's so far away you'll need to ride in a bus or shuttle to get into work. Patient parking is available for as little as $2 an hour - and in some cases the parking fee is 'validated' when you have an appointment for surgery, etc. so it's paid for by the department providing the service. The parking is very limited and these fees discourage people from bringing their cars to work - but they will sell more permits than there are places to park - so sometimes you just drive around from parking structure to lots and back searching for a place. We used to call them 'hunting licenses'...ugh..what a mess. So glad I work remotely!

Love the pic of the squirrel! He was looking right at you :) Glad to see Boomer is responding to the insulin :)

Parking at all the hospitals up here in the "North Country" is free. But I had to drive 100 miles every day for my 25 days of radiation therapy (which lasted about 1 minute a day!). At that rate I would have saved money if there had been a nearby hospital that did radiation--even one that charged for parking!

We have quite a few black squirrels here. They are just a different color of gray squirrel. Love "your" squirrel's face. I'll bet that Gus would like it, too!

So Deputy Boomer is taking his lagoon responsibilities seriously. Good luck with the full reducie.

Continued vines for your DH.

Enjoy your renovated bathroom. I hope it goes smoothly.

Looks like Boomer wants to do a blue/possible dark green surf tonight. He wants to go easy on you after everything he put you through last night.

Congrats on the reducie! I hope he does will on the new dose.
I hope DH's radiation treatments continue to go well. It's nice that you have the option to walk there. :bighug:

Fun black squirrel photo!
