So far she is holding this dose, it's the 4th cycle. Hopefully she will stay a bit on this one before next reducie. Slow and easy Ollie let's not overwork your systems. 6% food given for breakfast.

PJ is checking out Olive's ss and holding it in place for me this morning.

How big is he that he needs to lose some? Have fun snowshoeing.
He was 13 lbs., 9 oz. when he arrived. He is a medium-large cat (or large-medium). The shelter had him on a "diet" (if kibble can actually be diet food!). After a week of running around, playing, etc. he was 13 lbs. 5 oz. Two to Four ounces weight loss is what Dr. Pierson (catinfo.org) advises for a week. On Friday he will be weighed again and adjustments made. I am assuming that he is gaining muscle. Hopefully he is losing fat. He feels fat under all that fur!
I am following Dr. Pierson's chapter on obesity and counting Gus's calories.

Good luck. Never had the problem of a kitty needing to lose weight. That's gotta be tough.
