I dosed Bear per your advice @Wendy&Neko 5u.
I think it is a wise move considering, Bear is a bouncer.
So my sleep deprived mind had this humorous thought, if Bear goes in the lime green this cycle he should spend a fun filled two week vacation in beautiful Canada.
Ha, I know it is slim to none that will happen.

Bear, quit acting crazy!

Ugh, lucky you were home to test him. I upped Max to 6 this morning and I won't be home until this afternoon. Was feeling ok about it until I read about Bear's shenanigans!

I wouldn't worry too much Sarah. :bighug:
For some reason I felt like this was coming.
Bear had a surf in blue for 6 hours, which was a world record for him.
Plus Bear had hit Blue three different cycles on this dose.

WOW! I see Bear put you through your paces last night! Bear, be nice to your Mom today please!

You know I love black cats. I'd take him in a heartbeat but you might have a hard time getting him back! :woot: ;):p

One thing we will sometimes do here is called “shooting through the bounce”, where we shoot the old higher dose one more time before reducing. That can help out bouncy kitties, as long as they take a few cycles to get over a bounce. Not that I would have suggest it for you today, just keep it in the back pocket.

Good job Jeff and team Bear.:bighug: What a great five hours in green for him. Did you check out Wally today! :woot:

I am off to Florida in a week and a half, maybe I should swing by and pick up Bear.:)

Just as a housekeeping suggestion, I was reading that you thought last night’s dose was more like 5.25u instead of a fat 5. I recommended you drop the dose to 4.75u based on a fat 5u. However, if it was more like 5.25u, I definitely agree the new dose today should have been 5u and you might consider changing “fat 5u” for last night to 5.25u.

Good luck with the new dose!!! And watch out for Wendy!!!:p

Wow, I missed all the excitement last night! I was going through the past posts to see if I had missed mention of you going on vacation to Canada :), and I saw Wendy post this, which is so incredibly true (and should be the official motto of FDMB):

"Just remember that you are doing the best you can for your cat, the rest is up to him. Which unfortunately means a lot of waiting. Use the time in high numbers to do something for yourself. The time will come when there is more action."

And then look what happened last night! You did a great job keeping him low but not too low and not falling asleep (instead his pancreas took a much-needed nap). I can't tell you how many times I have slept through my alarm, woken up in a panic, and then nudged Hogan awake with my foot and said "Well, he's still alive."

I did change the dose and change all my dates to the correct (2019). Thank you for helping with Bear's PJ Party! :bighug:
I watch Wendy all the time, lol.

I really would love to give Bear a vacation for a week or two, while I get all my mother's medical needs back in play and things smother on the homefront, but alas I would want him returned. Lol!
:rolleyes: :bighug::bighug:

Seriously love to take him but the timing isn't right this week. My middle fur kid has a dental on Tuesday (I'm freaking already!:nailbiting:) so I might not be able to host Bear in the fashion he deserves. I'll probably be nursing my own wounds from trying to get my feisty little beast to take his post op meds!

It was just a wishful fantasy, lol. Now if I lived in Canada that would be a whole different story. :D
