World's biggest and longest bounce? What happened to our sweet blues and greens every third night? Heck, I'll take even a few more yellows at this point! Decrease not right 10 days ago? He hit 84 and wanted to stay there all day had I let him (on 1/13) . . . absolutely no progress since. 2 steps forward, 3 steps back! seriously discouraged here!

Wish I had answers for you. Any chance he might be sick with something? When Olive started going up before xmas it was because of p'titis. So I wonder if it's something else happening.

Sorry I don't have any an answer to offer.
How is Tigger acting? I think when numbers go up like that, people mention the 5 Ps:
Pooping, peeing, playing, purring, preening.

aside from a slight decrease in play (with an elevated increase in warm snuggles thanks to this -0 weather) he seems fine. hungry, happy, social. biggest clue for us when something is wrong is he will go loaf on the tree in the mudroom. he's mr.attention seeker otherwise and nothing has changed there! blood ketones non existent. weight is holding steady. (whispering: not even any random vomiting which he is known for!) its like he had that full day in blue and green and bounced and never looked back! it has me second guessing every shot (did that go in right?) and second guessing the insulin (its 6 months old! . . . but i doubt stopped "working" overnight)

i should add im looking to take him to the vet in the next few days/weeks anyway just because its been 6 months since the diabetes diagnosis.

Sounds like he's doing great. Hopefully, he's just angling for an award for the World's biggest and longest bounce.
Maybe go to the vet sooner rather than later, especially if he keeps with these higher numbers, just to play it safe.
Sending vetty vines for whenever you go that Tigger is a healthy, happy, less bouncy kitty!

Ugh, Tigger, come down! Some times you just have to keep going up and down in dose. I would look at getting new insulin too, maybe pens this time? They are smaller so you can use them to the last drop.

hmmm i thought i had read that those are harder for tiny doses?
i feel like i maybe should not have dropped from 0.75 to 0.50 at all (the last time) The cut off of 90 seems perfectly reasonable until you start thinking about meter variance. If i had tested 5 min earlier or later i might have gotten a 92 or whatever . . . seems trivial. next time i get something like 3 pts under 90 I am going to recheck with a second, different brand strip (I use insulinx and AT) . . . maybe decide to change dose based on multiple reading over the hour. esp as i didnt do anything to alter his numbers that day (1/13) like feed him after the 84 . . . i just let it ride out.
