I have to ask who saw that coming last night???? From 252 to 79 in two hours!:eek::eek: I was very careful with her feedings yesterday and added that info to the SS - however Luci wasn't listening to any advice about 'feeding the curve' and decided that she wanted to do a super big swan dive by dropping 173 points by 2+....

Just goes to show you, never, ever trust a cat to do anything by the book - yours or anyone else's. She's got her own agenda and just wants me and DH to keep up. MC steering got her away from the sharks last night and no one got much sleep:arghh: Here she is - saying 'Look into my eyes' - you are my slave...
Yep...knew that already Luci....

What is MC?
Medium Carb
Fancy Feast Wet foods have a variety of carb counts.
LC = Low Carb - under 10%
MC = Medium Carb - 11-19%
HC = High Carb 20 - 29% (I think that's the top end on that one, I never buy any that high - I only have 21% as my highest carb wet food on hand)...
It's all listed on Dr. Pierson's food chart - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...m6PPfEUz9YmzMGMxkmcBk6uRR0/edit#gid=113878384
Handy reference to mark your cans with so you're not giving the wrong carb at the wrong time.

Lucy is really such a tease, and look at those eyes :) But it looks like she may have earned a reduction at least with that being the 3rd <50? With love, Nikki

Also to know that's the general percentage reference and a great place to start, but some kitties are more or less carb sensitive. For some, MC can be more 8-15%, etc. You'll learn eventually how MC and HC affect Max as you go. I use the same range for my buddy Lou.

Lovely picture of HRH! I think what "annoys" me most about Luci is you never really have any notice that she's going to dive. It would be nice if you could perhaps feed her some MC with her PS meal if you knew to slow her down, but just yesterday she was yellow all day, and then decides to dive from a yellow during the PM cycle. She's such a drama queen and I think she loves the spotlight! She's lucky she's so darn adorable or she'd have some problems. :p:D I hope you all have a wonderful day and Luci decides to come down from those trees!

I agree 100% - if she was giving me any kind of clues that she's ready to slide down - even a hint - I'd give her MC right then and there...but Miss Silent Treatment...nothing...why did they take away my crystal ball? I sure wish I had some way to predict what she's going to do...she's a mystery cat for sure...throwing pinks and yellows around like they're nothing...and then that drop...

All I can say is I'm just along for the ride...monitor and feed accordingly....'shrug'...:confused::confused::confused:

Love this pic, and yes u r right, hope she has smooth sailing today and let’s you all get some rest
They are so unpredictable

I swear I do think these cats conspire to drop low. I was feeding Ravan during the night to keep him from going too low but he still went to 43 +6! It looks like several Kitties went for a dip with the Sharks last night

A correction on the post above on carb%

From the Slang Dictionary post,
LC - low carb aka reg canned food (usually 10% carbs or less, depending on the carb sensitivity of the cat)
MC – Medium carb food (usually 11 - 15% carbs, depending on the carb sensitivity of the cat)
HC - High carb canned food (usually 16 - 24% carbs, depending on the cat)

I like Lizzie's suggestion of testing earlier, especially after a flat yellow cycle.

You know what they say about those flat yellows, prob gonna be active tonight, Bella usually does
I have to work tomorrow - DH can stay up with her - we're both exhausted from her antics last night - I felt like I didn't sleep a wink...stayed up too late, got up with her at 2 a.m. and then couldn't go back to sleep until 4 - and THEN it was time to get up for AMPS duties... ugh ...
