Should I increase tonight? She seems to be slowly easing into this dose, do I give it a few more cycles?

She doesn't eat her PM +7 or 9 unless I happen to be awake and bring it to her where she is sleeping. Not eating it she is blue for AM, when she does eat one she is yellow and if she eats both she is pink. She isn't up and crying for it either.

I washed a box and filled it with the wegmans litter and she christened it immediately before I was out of the way.

Only have an inch of snow for now. News states tomorrow night should be the worst. Hope it's true and waits until I'm home from work. Today I work 12-4 and tomorrow 9-3. I still have to write up the minutes of audit meeting in time for Tuesday meeting and hoping this matter is put to rest.

She has gotten a few greens with this dose although higher greens. Just wondering, your increases are only .25 instead of 0.5. Is that because she is on cabo?

No. Since I'd getting greens and I really don't want her below 70 so I thought .25 would be just enough to bump her up but not throw her over the edge in either direction. Since remission is not an option, I just want her in blue and green. Maybe .25 increases more often??????

Is staying above 70 because of bouncing or her not eating well?

No its because of her ptitis, hcm, acro everything i dont want to push or add undue stress. I want a cushion to boost. Ptitis seems to be under control finally. She eats like a horse.

Check out the +5. And i have to leave for work. Arrrrr. DH is home food is set up.

Hope the increase will bring Olive into better #'s!

Yup, great response to that dosecrease threat.:D

I too only did 0.25 unit changes when getting numbers like you are over 5 units. Neko responded well to smaller changes and like you I just wanted to keep her in a good range. No point in forcing reductions with an acrocat, though I was OK with lower nadirs, except after SRT.

My thoughts exactly. I'm okay if she pulls some 60's especially if it becomes longer in duration and not due to sharp dive. She just seems to react better to milder changes now. The 60's make her lethargic yet and the higher yellows are starting to. She's out of the p'titis slump.

Dosecrease tonight it is.

Any thoughts on using zobaline if getting b12 shots? I do think the zobaline helps the nerve pain as I can touch her and brush her back without it bothering her now. When I don't give it the day of and after the shot, she seems to be bothered and skin ripples when I brush.

Just read through the thread and learned a few things :) Interesting! How do you know Olive is out of the ptitis radar?

I also want to give Ming a cushion when it comes to his nadirs but he seems to always have other plans just when I thought I knew them.

Since she is chronic p'titis, it' s noticing her behaviour and glucoses. When having acute episode, besides glucose going up for no other reason, it's also she isn't comfortable. She will be a blob and just lay around, flip from side to side when laying down. Just can't get comfortable to sleep. Her face looks like she's miserable. When not in an episode she sits more, face is bright and alert, interested in the world out the window. Might even play a bit. She has always been great eater so I can't use that to know if she's in a flare. She doesn't flip side to side. She will sleep on her back with feet in the air, stretch (never realised how long she is) until she got a good stretch out once. Her glucose are fairly well like they been lately. I can pick her up and she doesn't react because you touched her belly. The bupre given daily and will be for life has made a big difference and getting her glucose down.

Vet thinks and I have no way of knowing if it's possible, that Olive will be in a continuous flare of p'titis and we need to treat her as if she is in acute flare all the time in order to stay on top of it.

Thinking back Olive was in a flare soon after I got her and test was positive but we did not know her to know what her normal behaviour was. Previous vet said to wait and get diabetes under control first and test as well as other labs will improve.

When she is like her avatar, she's feeling good. That was very far and very few between.
