1/9 Ming PMPS = 58. Reduced dose cycle to drain depot, +0.5 = 61, +1 = 67, +2 = 74

I’m at work so I have to type quick. It’s +10 and Ming’s at 61. And he’s had a can of gravy all day

Any tips? Should I reduce to make my life easier?

A lot can happen in the last 2 hours of a cycle. He could bounce to the moon. Can you post the PMPS and put a ? mark in the title and say " Dosing advice needed"

Or even get a +11.5 so there i# time to get an answer. This is the 7.5 unit depot talking. With largish depots, one technique is to do a one time larger dose after a reduction is earned, to drain the depot. Size somewhere 33-50% off the dose tonight, then back to 7.0 units tomorrow. This would likely give you more sleep tonight, but make him higher when he does bounce, so it’s a trade off.

I’ll post PMPS soon in 20 mins. But I’m liking @Wendy&Neko idea and it was actually what I wanted to ask if it was something I could do: give a lower dose tonight and his normal dose tomorrow

I’m leaning towards a 50% shave off because 53????

Also is this typical of a cat who has IAA? I remember Wendy mentioning IAA cats need quick reductions.

Gah I wish I had done the IAA test too.

He is steady, thankfully. You could go with either 3.5 or 4. This is a learning opportunity. With Neko, a third off was enough. I wouldn’t add HC, but get a +1 and add it then if needed.

you just gave me my Halloween costume this year! I'm picturing some light face make up - except the bags under the eyes, hair sticking up, a robe with syringes sewn to it . . . . something bloody, but what? gotta work an alarm/clock in somehow.

LOOL that sounds hilarious and perfect! I already got the eye bags.

A few weeks ago, I caught my reflection in a restaurant and was horrified to see the bags under my eyes. They appeared swiftly and silently.

I was also thinking if I do increases, I’ll do 0.25 increases just to see. Maybe 7 isn’t enough but 7.25 is can bring him a little lower.

plus he's slowly going up . . . that's better than quickly plummeting down lol

Yes :) I have been very happy the past few weeks to see him working the lantus and even though he's been surprising us with these lows, he's still making progress! I don't want to jinx it by saying what I really want to say. I've been so superstitious lately haha

IAA cats with IAA breaking need quick reductions, but also cats with glucose toxicity breaking. And I can think of a few other situations too. One or two quick reductions by itself is not telling.

Awesome stretch of green. :D

That's good to know!

+5 = 221

Let the bouncing COMMENCE! Rofl. Although I do hope he dips lower later in the cycle like he usually does but at least I can sleep now.
