Yesterday

Well, I don't have a poop report as of yet. He hasn't gone...at least I couldn't find one. That makes about 24 hours.

Spoke with vet yesterday. We are doing a little bit of a shake up of the meds. Basically taking the sulcrate, bupe and the antacid up to max doses. We will try that for three days. Yesterday was the first day. Today since there was no poop, I decided to do the sulcrate 2 day like now, SEB once, bupe 3x and the antacid 2x. If still no poop I will take the SEB out of rotatation tomorrow. If there is no solid improvement in the poop and vomit department we will try the opposite take away all support except for the sulcrate and bupe for 3 days and see how he is. Sounds radical but I think we have exhausted all the food options, medicine, herbal support we can give. She indicated this is the most severe case of chronic diseases she has seen and she is amazed he did as well as he did for as long as he did.

He is not himself this morning. He is very subdued. He didn't sleep with me last night - only came first thing this morning. Didn't sleep with DS either. He continues to eat well though.

I ran my hand down him this morning. Every bone sticks out. There is nothing left of him. :(
Between the IBD and chronic pancreatitis - his body never gets a break. I wish I could just stay home and cuddle him right now.

Thank you for the continued prayers and good wishes for Mr. Jones.

Vines for Jonesy. Olive doesn't have IBD but does seem to have chronic p'titis. Juggling the meds to get them in the right order at right dose is trial and error, exhausting and a full time job.

I just took some bone broth out of freezer and I will try that when it thaws. We are on day 2 of no poop again. She doesn't seem bothered by it.

Looks like the addition of the SEB has helped stop the flow. He hasn't gone for about 36 hours now. He is still eating and ate all his food today. Hope we see something overnight.

His numbers are rising a bit as I have added back some kibble. It makes him happy to have it and I am not sure I could keep it away from him.
