Well, that was a long night. Thank you So Much to everyone who helped :)
I have to look into the ointment with painkiller for her poor ears, she's starting to really resent the pokes, and she's been such a trooper up to now. Hopefully I can get it in Canada.
With love, Nikki

It's called Polysporin here and you want the version with pain relief (gold and black tube). It's available in any human pharmacy.

Thanks! Do you know how long the analgesic effect lasts? Do I apply immediately before the poke and wipe excess?

I don't know how long. Maybe try it on yourself? Some people use a thin smear of it before poking to help the blood bead up and some use a bit after to soothe the ear.

Hello all, she's been having a very green day :)
Her ears are becoming very, very sensitive, and there are small bumps along the edge of her right ear (which has also been the best ear for testing, although I alternate). I do apply pressure after each test. I really feel I should somehow be cutting back on tests because of her ears, but I just don't know how, when I don't know her patterns, how fast she might drop, etc.
Could someone please advise me on the best testing times tonight?
I've picked up some of the painkiller polysporin and have applied it, but how often should that be applied? (the box says 3 times daily).
Thanks so much, with love, Nikki

I put the Polysporin on after every poke. I think you could go a couple hours before the next test. Does she have food down?

Ok thanks, I'll hold off a bit more maybe. She has another feeding due now (1/4 can FF) and 2 cubes chicken due at 5 am, unless she comes up low and I give her more food. I'll definitely put the polysporin on more often. Thanks for responding, with love.
