Yesterday caber 88 Metronidazole day 2 Subq fluids while on AB (I will get better at it)

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE !!!!!!

Olive is starting out the year nicely. Dosecrease on board. So far today when walking her tail is straight up.

I will move ss into position shortly, have to do that from desktop. Have to finish up my year end stock sheet and then do my dads.

It's warm and windy today.

She is doing great a pickling today.

Wish I knew what made her turn the corner; b12, subq, dosecrease of insulin and/or caber, AB......All none combo??????

Another good day for Olive. :D:)

I'm going to ask but pretty sure I know the answer.

I really don't want her lower than this right now to cause a big bounce and the dosecrease hasn't fully hit yet and she certainly hasn't earned reducie soooooo what do you think of me going down by only 0.25 units to hopefully level her off and keep her there. Do I make sense, in my head I do but not sure how to word it.

What a lovely start for Olive! Looks like someone is wasting no time to put her New Year's resolution into action.

Personally I liked doses where less time was spent above renal threshold, which makes the kidneys work harder. Acromegaly is by itself hard on kidneys. Sometimes kitties will give you a sneak peak of what a dose can do in the first cycle. If you like those nadirs (I was a big fan of 70’s nadirs), I would hold to see if that’s what this dose does. With Neko, a dose with a 70’s nadirs meant less ugly bounces and most of the time under renal threshold. But you have to decide what your goals are for Olive.

As always great insight of our kitties. You made an interesting statement I never really put to much thought into but now I will.

But you have to decide what your goals are for Olive.

Here is my list of goals for Ollie, not necessarily in this order:

Keep p'titis under control and as pain free as possible,
Keeping her in the 70's (Disco Queen) as much as possible, with little to no yellow, and no pinks, reds,
Less lethargy and more active,
No bouncing,
Keep appy up,
Keep acro symptoms from flaring,
She is happy and has a good quality of life,
Keep HCM managed,
Poo more regularly,
Keep kidney and/or liver from being affected,
To have more feel good days and less bad days,
Less insult to my checkbook,

I think I got everything.

Doing the dance!!!! Two days in a row and tonight she was actually pushing it out. Can the New Year start any better.......
