AMPS 218 shooting 2.5F
His numbers haven't been horrible but could be a bit lower so hopefully the "fat" on the 2.5u will nudge him down just enough.

Well last night just after we went to bed, Boomer decided he was still hungry and stood at the door calling me until I gave in and got up. I had already scooped out his +3 and he had eaten it, so I scooped out a tsp of his +6 (since he never finishes it anyways). Then at +7 he got me up again; he had eaten about half of the remaining +6 so I scooped the rest out for him. He didn't eat any of his +9 and then had an empty-tummy barf this morning:rolleyes: I think I need to change the timing of that one meal..... the +9 actually opens at +8.5 and then rotates to an empty dish at +9.5. And I'm pretty sure that he is ignoring the +8.5 turn but goes out at +9.5 when he hears it turn (to an empty dish) :rolleyes:

Yesterday I made orange shortbread.....thanks to @Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA) and @Wendy&Neko for the idea/recipe! It is delicious :):):) Then we went on a snowy owl hunt and once again I could not find one. I'm getting really annoyed; they're being seen all over!

Today on the agenda: I'm heading over to Saunders Pond....haven't been there in a while because the pond has been frozen and there's been zero bird activity. But I'm doing a maternity session there tomorrow morning (hoping for a bit of snow overnight to make things prettier) and I want to make sure the tourist centre will be open tomorrow so that the washroom is available for my customer to change in. The DH and I are meeting his sister/bro-in-law for lunch at 1:00 (+6).

Hope you find a good feeding schedule, although it seems when you find one that seems to work, Boomer changes his mind.

Hope the snowy maternity session goes well. Only place I would have wanted a maternity photo session in winter is in front of a roaring fire place.:)

Nice deer photo. Hope a snowy owl is in your future :)
 
I can't believe that it is 47 degrees here this morning on the first day of WINTER!! Our snow is being wiped out by all the rain. How is it where you are?

Good idea to re-program Boomer's feeder. But do you really need to rotate to an empty compartment after all these years? Maybe just let the +9 snack stay accessible and see how Boomer does with self-regulation. You could try it for a few days and see what happens.

Good luck with the fattened dose. I hope it helps bring Boomer's numbers down. Great picture. I hope you see some Snowy Owls today. Enjoy your lunch.

It's supposed to be 38 here today and it's been raining since last night.
 
I just read that Snowy Owls are most active during Dawn & Dusk & sleep during the day.They also make their nests on the ground. (That doesn't seem like a very good place!)
I hope you eventually get some photos of the elusive White Owls :)
