GA 11/27 Ivana - Rest peacefully, beautiful girl :-(

It's with an incredibly heavy heart that I make this post today. I know that most of you who are active in this forum nowadays probably don't know my Ivana, as she's been in remission for 2.5yrs. Since she arrived at The Falls, she's been bravely battling CKD - sadly, even though she won many battles, this morning she lost the war.

I've written a little something about her on my Facebook page - if you knew her, I would love for you to read her story here. (It's set to 'public' so you don't need to be on my friends list to see it.)

Massive thanks to everyone at FDMB who has supported us since we joined in 2015, your help is what got Ivana to The Falls (and she stayed there!), and for your continued support through her CKD journey.

Love to you all xx

Oh Tara....I'm so sorry it was Ivana's time to leave you :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Fly free sweet Ivana and land softly....You have lots of old friends at the Bridge to welcome you, show you around and keep you company until the time comes for you and your loving family to be together forever.cat_wings>o

Tara, you and Darryn gave Ivana a wonderful, long life. We will all miss her and we grieve with you. But Ivana will always be there in your hearts, in that special place that belongs only to her. And tonight when she arrives at the Bridge on her beautiful new golden wings, all of her many friends will be there to welcome her.

Fly free, sweet girl! cat_wings>o You are much loved.

In deepest sympathy,
Ella & Edward, Rusty (GA) and Stu (GA)

Oh Tara I am so sad and very sorry to read of Ivana’s passing. I remember the day well that you Ivana and Darryn came down to my place so I could show you about testing. .
She was a beautiful girl with a lovely personality and she ( and you ) did so well to get off insulin and to the falls for so long. You looked after her so well and she had a wonderful long and happy life with you, Darryn and the chickens.
I know Sheba will be at the bridge to welcome Ivana.
Sending love and sympathy as you mourn your beautiful girl :rb_icon:cat_wings>o

(((Tara and Darryn))) I am so sorry to hear that it was Ivana's time to go.:bighug::bighug:

She lived a rich life with you and the rest of the critters at your place. We will miss you Princess Ivana.

{{{Tara}}} and {{{Darryn}}},

I am just heartbroken to learn that the Princess has left the castle. Ivana was truly a one of a kind kitty, and she proved over and over how special she was. You two gave her everything she could possibly need or want, and her longevity is testament to how much you loved her. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you adjust to your new normal. Remember, she isn't far away, as she will always be in your hearts.

Fly free, dear Ivana, and land softly. :rb_icon:

I logged in to Facebook and I read Ivana's story. It was really lovely. She was such a character? I tried to leave a message but there was nowhere I could. I just wanted to tell you it made me cry. I know how heartbroken you both are. :bighug:

Just beautiful!

I am so sorry that your baby has crossed leaving you with a heavy heart. May beautiful memories of her sustain you through your loss...one that is so difficult.
My heart-felt condolences to you.

So sad to read this...it's always what we hope for - remission - but this sad news, never what we want to hear :( Sending prayers and hugs for you across the miles. Your heart will hold her forever in that special place we all have for our sugar babies...cat_wings>o

((((((((Tara))))) Oh no! Not HRH! Never a good time to let them go. She is such an icon here with those of us that were around while she was on the juice. All the wonderful photos of her and the chickens...........

Many vines are being sent to you and Darryn for comfort and peace during this very sad transition. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

(((Tara))) I am so sorry for your loss. We most definitely remember Ivana from her early days on the board! She was such a lucky girl that she had Darryn and you as her family and that the two of you gave her such an amazing life. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

It is odd how some kittehs are almost anti-social. Then some of them eventually break the boundary and know the feeling of a loving home. We had a similar experience with Scoobs (GA 2016). When they do break thru and start to enjoy companionship, it makes all the difference. Ivana was so lucky to be your kitteh, and you gave her a great home.

May your sweet kitteh fly freely and land softly at the Bridge. She was loved.cat_wings>o

(((((((Tara and Darryn)))))))
I am so very sorry that it was Ivana's time.
Ivana was such a character, I love that she decided to become a lap cat in her dotage, and I still remember her sitting by Chardonnay when Chardonnay was poorly.
George and I will miss HRH

Tara, I'm so sorry to see this post from you. I know how much you must be suffering at the moment, I lost my dear Ruby at the end of September to her CKD. Ivana was so deeply blessed to have you and Darryn as her parents. I always had a soft spot for Ivana being a Russian Blue and taking a similar journey to Ruby. May the rawness of your grief ease gently and be comforted by how much goodness she brought into your life. xx

@Fiona & Ruby I'm so sorry to hear about Ruby, CKD is a bugger of an illness to succumb to - Ivana was doing so well right up until her last few weeks when she deteriorated so very quickly, so I guess I can't ask for more than that. I'm pleased that both Ruby and Ivana will have another Russian Blue friend at The Bridge :rb_icon:
