? Rhubarb 12/03 AMPS=302, +2 227, +11.75 115 stall 0.5hrs PMPS=148 +2 216

Coming down! Hopefully I can make it back to test once during day, but no way I can be back for +5.
Leaving out Friskies 5% should be good?

I can't stay with you tonight. It's up to you. Since you can monitor, you could shoot, but you can skip if you need sleep or don't feel comfortable.

I'm a little nervous shooting if nobody is around ... but Rhubarb is never going to be regulated if I keep having to skip.

Well that's not enough to create any food bump so it looks like she is on the rise now so go ahead and shoot and I'll keep an eye on you both even though I don't think it's going to be a PJ party.:D

I think a +2 will be sufficient. I am going to ask you to change your spreadsheet though. Going to take me a minute to find my graphic to show you what you need to do. :)

You tested at +12 (or just before) and got 6.4 and did what we call a "stall" (waiting without feeding) and then retested and got the 8.2. On your spreadsheet in your PMPS box, you should show "6.4 @ +12 stall", "8.2 @ +12.33". Just leave some spaces in between the 2 readings so the text wraps, dropping the 8.2 info under the 6.4 info. The pic shows what it should look like. This makes it easier for you and anyone helping to know what happened tonight.

ETA to change AMPS to PMPS

Go figure! Getting what should be available at the pet store, from the hardware store is too funny! At least you found someone to order it for you. :woot:

West coasters will be up for a while too, if you need. Congrats on shooting your lowest yet.

Did you decide on the weekend whether you are doing SLGS or TR? It'll help us help you if you put one or the other in your signature.

Rhubarb doesn't seem to want to follow the books for anything but TR fits my goals for her best, though I'm likely a little more conservative than some.

Looks like a bounce. My first few low blues were similarly anticlimatic. Since Rhubarb was on her way up at shot time, chances are she's was low enough to cause a bounce somewhere in the middle of the day.

I think Rhubarb likes the trampoline. Gonna have to take her toy away! I wonder if she just broke a bounce from the lows the other day around PMPS and now is bouncing a tad from that low at PMPS or earlier. I would grab a bit of sleep and grab a +4 but if she's still up then, I think you'll have no issue tonight.

Does this change anything for dosing for morning?

Is it possible for the insulin to come out of the injection site? I swear she didn't smell when I gave her shot but she does now.

My best guess right now would be No but if things change by +4 and she gets dramatic, that might change my answer. She's leading this dance and you just have to follow her steps.

It might be possible that a drop on the needle got on her fur as you withdrew it and you just happened to sniff that spot. I ran into that "smell" a few times when I was giving larger doses that I definitely would have noticed had I done a furshot and I usually did a sniff test right after shots so goodness knows why I smelled it later!
