@carfurby thanks for comment re last night. I appreciate the understanding :). When the depot is very fall does this mean that 3.25 dose had become maxed out and that a reduction will settle this diving into low numbers out?
Am I making any sense?

Proceed carefully...full depot and any insulin at all could push her back into the lagoon...hopefully the reduction will ease her journey.

Responding to your tags from last night:
Thanks @Jill & Alex (GA)
How will I know- if the lower (3U) dose was wrong decision?
Her numbers higher than usual, her numbers lower than usual? I am stumped as when to“know it”
If her numbers are running too high you'll know the reduction isn't holding. If her numbers are low, chances are you're seeing left-over action from the higher dose influencing the action of the lower dose.
I would have to give consideration to my availability to monitor frequently over the next few cycles as well as give consideration to fear or lack of fear when dealing with low numbers, I'd use my knowledge of her typical responses, look thru her ss for how she reacted in similar situations, make a decision and dose accordingly.
@Jill & Alex (GA) ... are you concerned with potentially low numbers in saying this?
No, that's not what I'm saying. All I did was type out some things I/anyone should consider prior to making dose adjustments.
@Jill & Alex (GA) if you are available will you pls look at Nelli SS. She just dropped 64 points. It is not the 66 in it self which bothers me, it’s the 64pt. fall. Nelli does not swing... has never dropped this much?
I don’t understand what is happening
When you have time, take a good look at Nelli's spreadsheet. Just two days ago (11/29), she dropped 56 points. Not sure what you're so worried about. You've seen it before and I guarantee you'll see it again. It's very common with most cats. Remember these words:
I have no fear (data strong) dealing with low numbers. I have a good hypo kit ready if necessary :)!

Nelli appears to come up from lows rather easily. Something caregivers tend to forget is generally speaking, you're only looking for a 10 to 20 point rise... just enough to to nudge them into a safe range when dealing with low numbers. From there one wants to encourage kitty to surf in those lower numbers before the insulin begins to wear off and BG numbers rise.

Good luck with the 3 unit dose!

Hi @Jill & Alex (GA) thanks for checking in, I appreciate it :).
I need to lend clarity to my concern last night.
Before I posted ?Please Help- I had gone back over her SS.
11/29 dropping from 99 to 43 absolutely, I knew what to do, absolutely I fed?
Difference to me clear. Last night, yes dropped same % into a 64... not a 43.
Please don’t become irritated with my understanding. This was a new experience for Nelli and I last night- which again, led me to changing my post. I didn’t know what to expect after this. On 11/29 it was easily clear to me what to do.
I didn’t know last night if I should be fearful (because) this was a sign she is dropping rapidly. Conversely, I would not (“normally”) feed her or be concerned testing at +4 a 64? -and so I did not feed without input from another...
Thanks for letting me clarify my worry that I posted in condo last night :bighug:
Whew ;)

I didn't. :)

There's no reason to become fearful if you're hypo tool box is well stocked and you're testing frequently to stay ahead of the numbers

Whenever you're concerned about a rapid drop you can always feed a little in an effort to slow things down a bit instead of allowing her to drop further.

O/T: I don't understand how you're recording time on Nelli's ss.
What does +5.2 mean? +5 and 12 minutes? (2/10 of 60 min/1hour = 12 minutes)

We usually record and round to the nearest quarter hour.
For example:
  • 12 minutes after the 5th hour becomes +5.25
  • 5 minutes after the 7th hour becomes +7
  • 36 minutes after the 10th hour becomes +10.5
  • 45 minutes after the 9th hour becomes +9.75
Make sense?
.

Thanks for questioning how I am recording time on SS (and on condo)- I have been questioning myself as to the correct way to do this.
Regarding the +5.10 last night, I don’t know why I did that other than I was scared to death when contrary to her patterns (not a 11/29 happening) I wasn’t use to a drop like this or... I was unknowingly being a weirdo o_O.
I will round to 1/4 hour from now on.
I have been (unconsciously?) switching up ex.- I’ll record 5:15 either as 5.25 or 5.15. I think I recently decided that 5.15, 5.30, 5.45... was most logical? On the quarter hour? Does it matter?
Which way do others record time, I’d like to be like them :)
Thanks for you time...
