11/30 Ming PMPS = 356, +3 = 205, +4 = 104, +5 = 68, +5.5 = 52, +6 = 67, +7.5=56, +8.5=47 REDUCTION?

+2 = 511

I swear I didn’t do a fur shot. Maybe it’s because he puked last night. Blaaahhhh

I gave him less than 100 mL fluids just because. He doesn’t seem dehydrated but if there’s ketones, I wanna help flush it out somehow. He hasn’t peed yet and I’m about to leave the house for the day and won’t be able to test until later. He ate okay this morning. Didn’t eat everything and there’s more than half of his food left.

Because he has insulin in his body to lower the BG, but not enough food to counteract it and raise it.

Glad he ate. Hope his BG comes back down. He's such a bouncy kitty.

Ooohhhh

Right after he puked, I fed him again and he ate so he didn't get less food haha but good to know! It was just him eating too fast, methinks.

Actually, puking could mean he feels unwell, and that could mean a raise in numbers. Not all insulin in the body goes to counteract food. It has other uses in the body.

But my explanation for the ugly numbers is a delayed bounce. Neko’s worst bounce numbers were always the start of the third cycle after when the low event.

Down you go Ming!

I think for Ming, LC food either has a delayed reaction or doesn't do much for him at all. My speculation though *shrug*

PMPS = 356
+3 = 205

Phew!!!!!! Going down!

This might be just me and my superstitions... but I feel like when I give Ming's insulin dose, nothing happens or he's just high. But when my mom or my sister give him his dose, beautiful things happen. >_____> My mom gave the PMPS shot today and lookie.. he's going down.

Or I just coincidentally always give him his dose when he's bouncing.

I’d see where Ming goes when thiis bounce is over before deciding if he needs to increase. He did get to the 60’s a couple nights ago, a decent nadir.

+5.5 = 52

I've been feeding him 1/4 can of LC food after every test. Just gave him another 1/4 can of LC food. Should I feel something with higher carb or just retest in half an hour? Or even 15 minutes?

ok i just read the hypo thread and it said hypo = lower than 65 and he's at 52. For some reason, I kept thinking hypo is under 50..? Anyway, I'll just give him a taste of gravy just to be safe.

Well I was going to try to get some sleep, but then a severe thunderstorm warning came in and it got a little too noisy!!

I think it's passing now so hopefully I'll get to get some sleep before it's time to get up and start all over again!!

I'm dancing as fast as I can China....give your old mama a break!! ;)

Just a quick FYI....it takes 20-30 minutes for food to get into the bloodstream so it really doesn't do much good to test much before that.

Ok! Perfect. It'll be ~20 mins once I have to test.

And yeah, I hope he's going up too. I almost fell asleep before the 52 reading. Hope the thunderstorm isn't too crazy and lets you sleep :)

Oh I love thunderstorms, but this one's too noisy to sleep through!!

That's the right direction!!

I'd get 1 more test in an hour just to make sure Ming doesn't come back down, but I think you're far enough into the cycle that he should be OK after that.

It's now 3am and the storm has quieted down so I'm off...almost don't know why I bother since I have to be up again in 3 hours....LOL

Ahhh….the life of a sugarcat mom.....gotta love it cuz it's what we've got!!

+8.5 = 47

Does this mean he gets a reduction? How much? 6.5 units again?

I gave him 1 tsp of FF gravy. Will test in half an hour?
