Hi All- first let me say how thankful i am for all of you as i could not have remained sane without you!! ok- semi sane. If you look at Littles spreadsheet, while i am getting some blues her numbers are not good. especially AM/PM PS. I know part of the issue could be the 12 hr feeding cycle but without reintroducing DRY food i cant think of a way to change that. She will eat and eat wet food as soon as i put it down and the other will overeat as well. That could be due to the fact that they were used to having dry available 24/7 and now that they don't they're afraid they wont get another meal.
A timed feeder wont work either as i don't know who would get there first and if i did 2 feeders, i am almost certain Little would push my Molly out of the way and eat hers too) Based on all of this and my numbers, what should i do? Go up some on the dosing? perhaps change to another insulin? Break the Dry food rule and leave a limited amount out during the day? (i know they wont eat that all at once) My vet and my friend that runs a shelter both seem to think i didn't need to take away dry and at this point i am not optimistic that little will eventually get OTJ.... SO if that's the case, does it make sense to put out limited dry and adjust the insulin dose accordingly? i would just like to see her numbers more consistent and i do not know how to get there. Thank you all for any advice you have, i am truly grateful for all of you.
