Yesterday Cabergoline Day 56

She started crying last night. It wasn't because she was low and needed to eat, although did eat when I popped the feeder open. Don't know if it was because it was dark (night lights on) and everyone but her was in bed sleeping so she felt lonely. Or if it's dementia starting. She has done it before, it's not very often though.I

She is set up until +5 then DH will keep eye on her til I get home. I will check in with everyone after work.

Be safe everyone.

Gizmo has done that before - he hasn't in quite a while but it always wakes me up with a start. Usually he is down stairs and I just turn on the light and give him a call and he comes to bed. It is like he went to sleep with everyone up and when he woke up it was dark and no one was around.

How is she doing otherwise? Looks like the number have leveled off a bit.

This is so sad. I have dog loving family members who claim that cats have no feelings and don't care whether their owners are around. This came from a relative who had 2 cats, both of which passed away. I told her I disagreed and gave her examples of Bailey showing sadness when we weren't around, but she still thinks the same way. She no longer owns cats, which is a good thing.

Still has some p'titis pain. Tried to reduce the bupre some, that caused her glucose to rise again. Then she got a decrease in insulin, she does seem to take longer on the lower doses of insulin to see what it can do. Her appy is good and she was just doing some sedentary play with me. Doesn't mind being combed/brush as much as she did, so that's getting better.

They have feelings. PJ will cry when she's been alone or lonely and Tux is taking a break from her. Tux went into depression when Smokey crossed, he was a mess. PJ is what got Tux out of it.

Of course they do. That's why I was so surprised and upset with my family member. She is a really nice person and likes to help everybody around her, so this completely caught me off guard. I was surprised when she continued to insist even when I told her about how poor Bailey would sit outside my daughter's door when she was over at a friend's house for a sleepover. We have a security camera at the house, and whenever Bailey is alone, you can see her try to peek under the door, clearly looking to see if we are coming back soon. This relative believes that these actions are not emotional attachment, but rather the cat is looking for food. This theory made no sense of course since Bailey was free fed dry food, but that didn't matter. I just ended the conversation and never brought it up again. It's her loss, really.
