I wish there wasn't a fur shot while we had so much time to observe, but c'est la vie. It was sure nice to have unbroken sleep, even if I got up crazy early!
I really appreciate the help and support everyone has given me :)
I hope all our kitties have a great surf today.
 
270 at +2, just updated now since I had to head to work.
Hopefully consultant is ok with us leaving in a couple hours or so for a quick check on Rhubarb (aka nearest washroom to work site :p)
 
I just got free from work to stop in and check Rhubarb. I used neosporin the first poke, and it took a bit to get blood, and seemed to take longer for the strip to accept it. I got 184 on that one. I thought it could be off, so I tested other ear and got 232.
Which is correct? Could her glucose have spiked within a minute?
Are these numbers indicative that the insulin did anything? I was not able to get away from work for mid cycle tests.
 
Life is just not working for me. Her shot will be late tonight- something wrong with truck so not going to be home for a bit.
Argh!
I don't need the schedule screw ups ...or the extra bill!
How late can I give the shot? I will need to shoot at 5-530am if I want to get a +2 before work tomorrow.
 
Gave a err skinny 0.25? Couldn't get the amount just right. Roll method worked great for injecting
 
Sorry no one got back to you. Lantus works best if you can give it 12 hours apart. If you get off track, you can safely move the shot in one 30 minute increment per day or two 15 minute increments. Of course, sometimes life gets in the way and you can't do that. I hope it's nothing too expensive with your truck.
 
I need to shoot at +10.75 if I'm going to get a +2 tomorrow morning.
I'm not sure what to do come morning.

The odb port was shot, and once they fixed that, our engine light had come on from transmission error codes. Really hoping the wiring was causing faulty codes. We will find out soon I'm sure.

Rhubarb is a houdini- raced into house and couldn't find her. Looke everywhere, and turned out she had slipped past me into our gated yard .. that was a 15 min delay and a minor heart attack!
 
Worst case, you get a +1 tomorrow morning, that can still give you valuable info. You probably don’t want to move the shot up by an hour at this point. That can act like an increase.

Ok thank you, that makes sense.

I will see if I can get a friend to stop by tomorrow if she isn't working to do a spot check.
 
I got up at +7 instead and was a bit surprised to see 4.8 (86)! Rhubarb seems fine and hadn't finished food out, so doubt she was hypo in there. I wonder if I will end up skipping shot this morning, or if she will be back up by then.
