Tucker 21 Nov AMPS: 6.8/122PM: 7.4/133

I hope Tucker is giving you a bit of a break today. He has stayed reasonably flat today. Numbers a bit higher but still ok especially with all the changes in dose over the last few days.

It looks like he's hitting a late nadir again, but a reasonable number (8.7/157). If his 'bounce' was only up to 10, I would say that is a big improvement for him. He's still very happy :)

I don’t think he bounced. I think the higher numbers are from the depot emptying and the lower doses given over the last few days. He’s being a very good boy!

His numbers from today look great. Can you talk to him and ask him to just stay in that nice blue ocean for awhile - no more lime greens.

Leo must have sense Tucker's hypos this week...so Leo had a small one today at +5. He comes out of them quickly. Glad to hear that Tucker is happy and being a good boy. You will be sleeping well tonight.

Oh, thanks Guys! I was feeling pretty good about where he is at but now I'm a bit chuffed  that he is being so stable! Hopefully he continues and Leo continues to be a copycat and surfs the blues! Evening Pretest was 7.4.......very reasonable.

Probably still having some of the depot drain. I guess the other possibility is that his body is wanting less insulin and he will stabilize at these newer low doses.

We are really hoping it is the 2nd option, and that his body is requiring less insulin.

That's low enough, Tucker. I hope it the 2nd option too.
At 1am I gave him a can of Fancy Feast because I really needed to get some sleep but I set an alarm for 3am, just to be sure he was safe. Ended up getting 2 tests at 4.2 and then an hour later 6.1. Would those numbers still be food-induced? If I had not fed him, is it likely his number would have crashed down further? It is still 3 hours until his morning test. Should I give him more food at 6.1 at 3:30am

Just an update from last night: I ended up giving him a bit more food at 3:30 am just to be sure he was safe when I fell asleep. He was 10.3 at 5:30 this morning and his AMPS was 9 and hour later. He has had his regular LC breakfast and 3 units. I hope I've done the right thing by this boy.

The number you got at 3 am , 109, was 2 hours after the 1 am feeding, and he is nice and safe right now. I think you'll be okay until the next shot time.
