Happy Black Friday! Or, as it is known around here, getting-a-new-cat-tree day. ;) Well, that and cheap food, treats, toys and litter.

Even though I got up way early, I was wide awake when I came home and saw that 146. I should have of course retested, but I didn't. And even though I don't think Mandarin got into anything while I was at Pet Supplies Plus at the crack of dawn, it's possible... Either way, now what? Clearly, that's way higher than anything you would want to see during an OTJ trial. He managed to come down nicely after he ate his breakfast - but what do I do now? Continue to monitor and hope that was just a one-time occurrence?
 
I would treat it as a fluke and carry on (until he tells you otherwise). His BG did come down after food so that's a good sign!

OTj trial instructions say to test 3 hours after a blue. You did that, he was green. All good. :D He could have seen a scary critter outside, been swatted by another cat, who knows. :cat: I once saw a trial cat go red after a car ride - that cat hated rides. :mad: Anyway, he brought it down to green and the trial continued. Keep on truckin' Mandarin.

Definitely not our day today. Second blue in a row. :arghh: I will test again in three hours, but this trial is probably not looking too good at this point...
 
Sorry for the blues for Mandarin. I hope he brings his numbers back down tonight. I wouldn't quit the trail yet. I'd wait and see what he does in the next couple of days.
