11/19 Yoyo PMPS 300,+1 296, +2 278,+3 310, +5 333,+7 241...+1 394+2 354,+3 356, +5 244,+6 178,+9 183

How is he doing now?

Also, on your ss, you should indicate that you shot an hour late by modifying like this: .5@+13
What time is the AMPS number from? If that is also an hour late, you can also modify that to read 237/271@+13

Be sure to keep testing for ketones while we wait for his numbers to come down.

I got him to eat, about 1/4 can ff. Drinking has stopped.
The AMPS number of 237/271 is from 7am. I modified his spreadsheet as you suggested.

Hi,

Yoyo started at high today but he seems to be keeping low numbers. Since I started an hour later today, Yoyo will be getting his insulin around 8:20pm. Thinking PMPS may be the lowest yet so I definetly need support tonight if that is the case. Please let me know if you are available tonight or if I should add "Need support" to my "title"?

Also, I hope I thanked you for sending the LC MC HC foods from fancy feast. I wasn't able to read the labels. Can I contact the person directly for the food labels or are you able to read them and send them to me.

Hi Debra,
This is probably more helpful for you. Most people here use this spreadsheet.
https://catinfo.org/docs/CatFoodProteinFatCarbPhosphorusChart.pdf

The foods in the photo fall into these three categories that you can find on the spreadsheet above along with their associated carb contents.
If you don't already, it's a good idea to label the cans with the carb content so you aren't scrambling in a hypo event.
HC Fancy Feast Delights and Gravy Lovers variety
MC Fancy Feast Grilled variety
LC Fancy Feast Pate variety

I should be up until about midnight so I can keep you company until then.

Let's see what Yoyo has in store for us tonight. I'm liking those blues!

:)

Thank you again and again!!!
Makes me feel so much better knowing you are there.
Thank you for sending the list of foods. This time I printed it out and saved it to my computer. Sorry about asking again for the foood list; searched the old posts and I couldn't find the link that you had sent.
Yoyo should start next cycle around 8:15.
See ya then:):)

Technically, his numbers are high enough that a +1 is not needed.
It's up to you if you feel you want one to see how much of a food bump he got.

Since you said it is the food bump, and it is finally sinking into my thick head:joyful: I decided to do the +1.
Strange how it is about the same as the PMPS. I saw that on 11/16 cycle also. Shouldn't the food before insulin have made the +1 rise?
Or does this show that Yoyo doesn't react the way he should to food bumps? Just wondering incase of a low number and I need food to raise his Blood Glucose.
What are your thoughts when you have time to write back?

To me, this looks more like the 11/18 PM cycle in that the number PMPS and +1 are pretty much the same. Now we wait to see if he will follow that same pattern. Let's see what +2 brings.
Hopefully, you will eventually be able to spot patterns in his SS. I am not good at that so I have a thick head too :joyful:

I see what you mean about last nights food bump. His night food bumps really don't exist. On 11/16 his PMPS from +1 went down like 57 points.

Cat BGs are known to be lower at night than during the day, which isn't great for our sleep. Maybe why his night food bumps are so much smaller than day bumps
As far as I know, no one really knows why they go lower at night.

Yoyo looks pretty flat. When will you test next?
I just tested at 11:30....+3 went up to 310. I fed him after +2 reading about 1 hour ago.
Maybe I give him to large a portion. But he was hungry and I'm glad he is eating. These cycles are confusing. He will probably come down next readings because I won't feed him again until around 2am. I feel safe that he will be fine tonight. I thank you for being available tonight for Yoyo, thank you very much!
Sleep well and hopefully you will peek in on us again tomorrow.

I hope you get good sleep tonight. As a general rule, you don’t need to get a +1 most times. Get a +1 if you are shooting your lowest number to date and it’s below 200, or the numbers are dropping into preshot, or you want to get data on a food bump. The Lantus doesn’t onset usually until 2-3 hours after the shot.

Ok...thank you for checking on Yoyo. We appreciate all the help and look forward to learning more each day and night.
