I am starting to feel like I jinxed it when I wrote that everyone has been doing so well. This morning, Mandarin seemed a little off and wasn't quite as enthusiastic about his food (he usually acts like he hasn't eaten in days when I open a can of food). When I came back from the shelter at +4, he had had diarrhea (at least I assume it was him) and then started throwing up. He wanted nothing to do with his +9 snack and pretty much hasn't moved.

It's almost time for his PM dose and I am not really sure what to do. He hasn't been this high in months, so I feel like he really needs Insulin. But I am afraid that he will continue to throw up even if I can get food into him. Any thoughts?

I really hate seeing him this way. :(

:bighug::bighug::bighug:...could he have gotten into anything while you were out today? Are you able to be off schedule if you stall a little bit tonight? I know he's on a tiny dose already, but maybe give a token dose this evening?? (I'm sorry, I know all of my suggestions end in question marks....not much help!) I hope he feels better ASAP....it's so horrible when they feel bad.

He did end up eating a little baby food, so I gave him his shot. Now let’s hope that he will keep the food down.

Do you have any Cerenia at home to try?
Unfortunately, no - I really should keep a supply for situations like this.

Do you have any probiotics to give him? I hope he feels better soon. Sending prayers. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
Good idea! Probiotics I do have.

It’s possible, but he’s not a cat that’s ever gotten into anything. And I didn’t find anything that was chewed up. I don’t leave food out anywhere since Jersey would for sure eat it. And he eats the same food as everyone else and they are all doing fine. It’s just so strange.

By 3 am, Mandarin decided that it was time to wake up his mama bean to let her know that he was starving to death after skipping two meals. He still has diarrhea, but at least he is acting like his normal self. ...and I better try to get some more sleep.
YAY! Sounds almost like pancreatitis. Praying the eating continues. Feel better Mandarin :cat:

I'm just seeing this now Christina....I see that Mandarin woke you up to let you know he was hungry so that's a good sign! Happy to see that he is feeling better.
