? Yemala 11/14 AMPS 174; +3 37; +5 49; +5.5 51; +7 62; PMPS 173; +2 94; +6 107

Yemala dipped into the 30s this AM. I fed her up with MC food, and she's back into good numbers.

However, I'm wondering about her PM dose. TR protocol has it that if she dips below a 40, we reduce the dose again. Mala is just coming out of a bounce - it broke yesterday. I'm hesitant to change her dose when the bounce was this recent.

On the other hand, Thursdays are generally days when no one will be around through much of the afternoon. True, her dose comes at 6 AM, and someone will be here through the time she hits nadir, but it makes me nervous.

So do we drop back to .1, shave the .25 and shoot it skinny, or hold the dose as it is?

I don't see any tests after the 48 last night. Could be she went lower? I'd be worried about an overfull depot playing havoc if no one is around tomorrow. I would definitely reduce. Have you counted the drops in the 0.1 dose and the 0.25 unit dose? Just wondering what the difference really is.

There were no tests after the +6 last night. On the basis of "Know thy cat", we have seen a consistent pattern with her EXCEPT when she's in the heart of a bounce. Her nadirs come between +3 and +7, and if her +6 number is good, we can go to bed. Which we desperately need to do, earlier than we do, with fewer interruptions.

Currently, no one is home to do checks. My son and I are both at work, as is my husband. I'm hopeful that he'll be able to get home in time to give her a shot at her true +12, but he's been awfully late of late.

I can tell him to shoot the .1, and we can see where it takes her. She's been back to .25 for 10 cycles, had a nice bounce, and this is the break. I don't know how many drops that would be, hadn't thought to count them.

How do manage to dose .1 ?

If you go to the permanent sticky posts on this Lantus forum, you will see a title on how to manage and shoot low doses. The authors of this post provided really clear photos of what the plunger position will look like with really low doses.

Good luck.
