AMPS = 553

Might be from the stress of commuting from work to home. But he ate and looks good. Will check ketones of course. He didn’t pee at all last night at work.

He’s got super fatty blood... hoping to find an answer as to why :(

I’m guessing he needs an increase after this cycle but I don’t think I will increase until tomorrow morning or until Friday morning when I can monitor him.
 
Not much downward motion. I would love to increase tonight but I’m not home. I gave him a little more bupe tonight just to help (0.4 mL) and gave him 100 mL fluids.

No ketones this afternoon though :)

He’s definitely only feeling so-so. Not 100% good.

Appetite is good. He was asking for food before I left for work. Not so much playing. The only reason I think he's under the weather is because he went to hang out in my mom's room alone which he only does if he feels off. He got cerenia today too but I may look into the other medication this weekend. All other Ps are in place :)

PMPS was good considering: 365

Edit: I just wanted to share my joy: there are NO patients tonight at the animal hospital. Yeeeeessssss. All I have to do is clean and surf the internet and nap and answer phone calls if any :cool:

Also I think I will increase to 6 units tomorrow morning. Any objections? :smuggrin:

Depending on how he does (and how I feel) I may bring him to work with me again to monitor tomorrow. It should be a quiet night again at the hospital.

My mom wants to sleep now but I think my sister can test him when she gets home.

WoW Ming ahhahah. I guess we're gonna keep the 5.5 units for another cycle. What do you all think?

I hope he doesn't bounce like crazy tomorrow. My sister will test him again in half an hour before she sleeps and if he's dropping still, she'll feed him a can of his regular LC food with ~ 2 tsp of gravy. 2 tsp because no one's watching him but I also don't want him to get too high with it. He won't finish that meal most likely and just munch on it throughout the night.

My $0.02-
You are catching mid blue on 5.5u. It’s safe to say he is not accustomed to numbers under 200. That being the case it’s appropriate to hold the dose for 8-10 cycles. At that point if mid blue is still the lowest you see, increase by 0.25u.

Continue to monitor daily for ketones.

That sounds good. I will hold the dose for another 4 cycles :)
