YESTERDAY

I'll keep the Lantus at 1.25 through this evening, even though she earned another dose reduction. I would imagine that would be advisable, yes?

We'll see what kind of toe-dipping goes on today!
Not too much sleep last night for the momma bean, but I'll get through.

Love and healing light to all the kitties and beans that need some relief today.

XOXO, Joanne + Tiny Sole ...and Cookie too (who is not feeling well, again)

Hi Joanne ~ some nice surfing last night. I am glad you held the dose since she had just had a reduction yesterday AM . Yesterday's drop to 77 at +12 was most likely the higher depot talking. When back to back reductions are given they usually don't hold. But, that said, little Miss racing down the dosing ladder will tell you if another reducie is in order. ;)

I hope your day isn't too horrid with little to no sleep........ :bighug:

So sorry to hear that Cookie is not feeling well. Vines going out !

The little SUN is doing good & so are you with the testing!
Getting up all night has become a way of life for me. I'm always so tired.:cat:
GOOD JOB!

Hope your day is wonderful :D (more green #'s for Tiny Sole)

+6: 115, which could be food influenced.

What low BG value is indicated to begin to give a small LC snack; below 90?

With SLGS you only have about a 10 point spread for her to be in the Lagoon. The 90 is still a safe number and with the AT2 meter your take action number is 68. The 90 is the reduction number for safety for those who can't test through the day. But as long as you are there to monitor carefully you could let her go below the 90 but keep her above 68 for safety. That way she gets some more time in the green numbers. JMHO. See what other think.

This is the 3rd cycle since you reduced so the depot from the higher dose is draining. It can take about 4 cycles to drain. But, she has managed to be back into the lagoon and since she dropped below 90, your reduction point, you just might want to take the reduction for tonight's cycle. She is on a mission. ;)

I would see if she can surf to PMPS. The 89 could have been her nadir today. Test again about 2 hours from the last food and see where she is.

Since she was brief in the green today and marginally below 90 maybe holding the dose wouldn't be a bad idea. I am doubting my previous dose to reduce. She popped back up and stayed up.

How about putting a ? mark in your title and see what others think. I might not be around when it is your shot time.

Based on her numbers today, I'd like to hold the dose too. There wasn't much green, but blues were fairly steady.
I'll give 1.25 U again tonight, then that will be a full four cycles.
We'll see where she goes after I get her PMPS in about 45 minutes, at 7:30 PM.

I'll update the SS and post here to let everyone know what the PMPS is.

Be back soon!
XOXO

Oops I got your location and Cindy's mixed up! I'm on the shore of Lake Ontario and there are days the swells get to 10 feet but they're rolling and don't curl well enough for regular surfing but kite surfing would probably be a blast. Maybe we can get Tiny on a kite surf board! :woot:

Is there mid-Atlantic surfin' music? I didn't know anyone surfed off the Carolina coast but then why not! :woot:
Oh, yeah, those Southerners know how to surf too! I was born in North Carolina. Whenever the shore points would have to evacuate for hurricanes ( I was also born during a hurricane....) you would find the ocean full of surfers waiting to catch the "big one"

And, yes, Joanne is up here in Yankee land with me. LOL

30 min until +3 at 10:30! Do you think she'll let me sleep tonight?
I hope so! Remember, if she is dropping low and fast you can give her some MC food so you can get some sleep and set your alarm for later.

ETA: If it is fast, you would want to get a test 30 minutes later to see if she raised up and depending on that number, you might be able to get a few hours of sleep.

Yes!! I'm hoping for some sleep tonight! Be right back!
