Halloween Party tonight!

Kitties All--

Trick or treat! Our beautiful, elegant China has graciously invited us all to her place for our Halloween Party. Thank you, China! Purr-purr-purr.

This is the night of the year when the veil between us and our precious GAs is thinnest and we can see and hear them. The view will be best near the Taster Blankets.

We will celebrate with recipes crafted by my mentor, Chef Rusty, and the kitchen krews of yore at Halloweens past:
Appetizers: Witches' Micro Brews; Double-trouble Niptinis; Green Grog; Deviled Black Duck Eggs; Mousefoot Salsa on Nip Crackers; Bubbling Cauldron Cheese Dip; Mouse Mousse; Paw Prints Special Halloween Pizzas; Bog Clams Steamed in the Cauldron.
Entrees: Brunswick Stew; Baked Rats in Puff Pastry; Howling Buffalo Wings; Ghoulish Goulash; Turkey Pumpkin Casserole; Crunchy Tarantula Tacos; Eyes of Newt.
Salad: Tossed Witches' Broom.
Desserts: Cimmamum Cobweb Cookies; Jack-o'-Lantern Cake; Black Cheesecakes; Pumpkin Bars.

Costumes encouraged (but not required: being a cat at Halloween is a classic).

Party down with your purring selves!

We will be there. The food looks great. I'll be hanging out on the taster blankets as usual. Luna will be running around like an idiot and spooking everyone by appearing from nowhere. Licorice will be there too. Looking forward the most to seeing our GA Halloween black cats Rosa and Regan at the Circle. ~Roxi
 
Luci just roared by - on her way up the stairs - fleeing from the little monsters who're coming to the front door.... I think she's hiding...I'll go and tell her about the party...ya'll know that girl will go crazy and show up any minute in her crazy cat costume! She luvs to dress up...I think I hear her now plundering about - something about sequins????:p
 
I'm recalling the first LL Halloween party BK attended; it was 2008.

The movie "300" tells the story of how in 480 BCE Leonidas, the warrior king of the Greek city-state of Sparta, grabbed 300 of his buddies and headed for Thermopylae to aid the confederate Greek forces against a Persian invasion.
In spite of picking up and about 7000 more countrymen along the way It ended badly.

Back in 2008 BK spent so much time in pinks I took to referring to him as 'Mr. 300' or
Leonidas"

That year most all of LL kitties Halloween costumes were made by a member very skilled in photo shop.
The attached is the costume she fit BK with...I'm glad I still have it.:cool:

Yo hoomins!! Don't expect yer kitties home anytime soon!! Dey is having a blast!!

All our speshul furriends beyond da veil looked so healthy....and we knows dey is happy to get to see's der loved ones and all der furriends tonight when da veil lifted!

Don't worry hoomins....We makes sure dat all da kitties get back home safely when da pawty is over!~ China...da hostess wif da mostess
 
Ooo. I iz a bit late to the pawty coz I woz combing ma whiskers and tail & woz trying to make m'wings fly . Do you like ma wings?

I brought a plate of crispy birds feet served on baked catnip wafers. I didnt catch all the feet or the birds. Mum Bean saw 'em in the hoomin shop . I also made sweet and sour skink tail vol-o-vents & freeze dried plain yoghurt balls.

Is @Idjit's mom Idjit here purrlease. I iz a bit shy so have sat on a blanky but I iz hopin' he will find me & dance wiv me. I put him on my dance card .

I iz hoping that Grandpa , Squallie , Ty and Noah, all being older gents, will seez me in my fine fancy wings and gives me a purr.

Idjit came dragging in, in the wee hours this morning. He has tired paws from tending to the taster blankets and dancing with all the beautiful purrgirls he could. He told me Dusty "as usual" was stunning. He was especially touched with the moments allowed to peer through the veil to see all the dear departed and send them lovies.

Roxi says she would be happy to help tend to the kitties on the taster blankets at future parties. She's not one for much dancing and likes the good view of our GAs, but she says she can definitely help now those blankets are getting busier.
