Just starting a new one for the day.
Last post by me with questions:
Also, I'm kind of ticked. When Ming was in hospital and I was working, I did more than the BG tests every 2 hours because when it was my time to work, he'd be DROPPING. On the Pet Meter, he'd go from 19 to 4 within 2-3 hours. So of COURSE, I would test more often. But I've been told not to test so often by doctors and a tech today jokingly asked me if I'm testing him every hour.
I would LOVE not to test him at all. These strips are so expensive! And I've wished many times Ming's BG would just be printed on his forehead like a stamp that changes. Siigh... they think I'm crazy... and I am but you gotta be crazy to deal with diabetes.
The IM specialist didn't acknowledge my apologies but answered my medical questions. She doesn't think Ming is an acro cat as of right now because the urine creatinine test said otherwise. The same tech warned me that the IM specialist was "intense" and would not like that I didn't listen to her. NN told me again, who cares because if I listened to her, Ming would probably be... *whispers* dead.
But anyway, Ming is holding steady right now in the 200s at +7. Let's see what this dude does when he reaches his nadir again.

@Wendy&Neko Sorry, what are we looking for in the +6? Are you thinking: since +2 isn't always indicative of an active cycle, looking at +6 will tell us that?
It's 3 AM and I'm almost done my tasks for the night so I'm really tired and can't think. Definitely appreciate the explanations! And also the reminders to do housekeeping things
The last few days since Ming's been home... what a ride. I know I'll burn out soon. I'm always worried, very anxious, and can't concentrate on other things but I'm sticking it out as long as I can (and as much as my schedule allows it). I'm so lucky that I'm working night shifts and can bring Ming along with me to monitor. But anyway, I thought I'd let you guys know what I'm feeling and I'm sure everyone's been through this as Sandy pointed out and as what I've witnessed on the forum elsewhere.
I know what we have to do (Thank you @Sandy and Black Kitty for the thorough and thoughtful explanation!!!) and every new thing we do scares the living bejeebus outta me but I'm so grateful for everyone here for doing a MULTITUDE of things for me. I can't believe what a pot of gold I landed on! Not to sound ungrateful, but I paid an IM specialist hundreds of dollars but here you guys are, giving up your precious time to help someone you've never met before. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY FRIGHTFUL HEART! Ming thanks you too
