It’s getting real, ya’ll!
So it was time to get the amps number. It was 3.8. I was like no, it cant be real. Took another strip- was 4.4. Took another strip- was 4.5. So I calculated the avarage and entered it- 4.2. And the difference between 3.8 and 4.5 is 18% (I remember reading somewhere that 20% is allowed or is it?) Have never tested many times in a row.
And then I did my usual shot of 1 unit. Now Im thinking that I might have given him green shots for the past couple of days basically. But seeing that green “in person” and then give a shot- that is a first for me. So what am I supposed to do in the morning? Crap- why these things happen when Im at work and cant monitor? I mean how low was he during the day even when his preshot is that good?
I put the question mark there, because Im definately going to reduce the dose in the morning, but I guess I just need someone to agree with me or am I being a chicken?
Also I have to figure out how to do a .75 shot without a half unit marking. Tomorrow Im going to call one of the vets to beg to order the syringes I need.
