I could not check her sooner. I had to leave for a couple hours today. I left food for her and gave her some food when I got home. I will test tonight and post if I need help. She is getting better at me testing. The warm muslin bag with rice really helps.
I wanted to share too, that I put her lancets in a old medicine bottle that I got my pills in. Works great. I also use another bottle to put the used lancets in.

I would feed her LC and check her an hour later to see if she’s coming up.

I’d like to suggest you decrease the dose to 0.25u and see if that lets you shoot twice a day and see flatter numbers. Shooting once a day is causing her depot to drain resulting in a higher AMPS. Then you shoot, she drops, and you skip the evening shot. It’s really not the best way to use this insulin.

What do you think?

Yes, I think that is a good plan. I have been giving her the LC (FF classic) What you said all made sense. I did not know why her BG would go up AMPS. Yes, too much up and down is not good.
If I checked in 45 minutes would that be enough time for her to come up?
Thank you for helping me.

Yes, she might be up but it’s best if you can test her after +14 to be sure she’s staying up; that would be best. If you need to go to bed, perhaps you could set an alarm.

You’re welcome. Good luck with the lower dose...I hope she will flatten out when she receives a consistent dose. :)

+14 76 she is sailing up.
If you need to go to bed, I’d be sure and leave her some LC food out. Good job getting that test.

Please remember to only shoot 0.25u tomorrow if she’s at a safe number. Please post before shooting if you are unsure.

Here is what that dose looks like:
