Yesterday

Number is a little high this morning. Main goal is to keep it under the renal threshold as the U/S has shown some shrinkage of the kidney's. He is 14 after all.

He ate well yesterday just wish I could see some weight put on his skinny butt.

Happy Tuesday!

Update on the Civvies:

The civvies went to the vet on the weekend and there was a few things that popped up on the BW.

Libby - who has FORL's needs a dental. Her T4 just keeps creeping up. It is on the high side of normal. She has no other clinical signs of hyperthyroidism. Looking at doing a free T4?? Plus she had extra blood in her urinalysis. More than expected due to the needle. So vet is wondering if she has bladder stones or stress cystitis. So was wondering if we wanted to do an xray when she is under. Which she is on clomicalm for house soiling. That said she has been cleared for her dental.

Rain - is my CKD kid. Her BUN is up slightly but creatine is down. Otherwise, same position as in April. So she has been cleared for a dental as well with all day fluids, different pain relief.

Man, when it rains it pours. I need to win at the lottery.

Lottery: I was thinking the same thing! Just yesterday with Forrest was almost 500 bucks and then the dental will be another 400-500 bucks. sigh

Glad that both are cleared for the procedures. It is always upsetting when they need it and can't have it done for health issues.

Come on down Jones!

My civvie Tanner was being monitored years ago because when he had his preliminary BW before doing his dental, his T4 was borderline. We kept testing and it dropped after the dental. He also had FORLs. It started creeping back up before he was finally diagnosed with hyperthyroidism 5 years later. I wouldn't worry about it but monitor it after the dental.

That is good to know. She has been higher side of normal for the last three years but consistent...now she has pushed up however she has 1 tooth reabsorbed and 1 under way since then.
