I understand, and as long as she is eating, grooming. I will continue to watch her. She is stressed because I have been testing her so often. If you all need to go I understand. I want to be with. The vet is too far away and I think she is better off with me. I would love it someone could stay, but I understand.

Then, more honey and gravy.

Thank you. I will give it little longer. I will test her one more time. I will give her some more honey and I will leave food out for her and let God take care of her.
I understand Kylee is tired of being poked so often but I'd keep feeding and testing until her BG is in safe place (blue number).

Renee, I don't know what to say that hasn't already been said. I don't know if you fully understand this could get very ugly... very, very fast. I can't pretend to understand your choice when you have options to keep her safe. Perhaps God's way of taking care of Kylee was to put her in your care to be her advocate... to take care of her.

That said, Kylee is your kitty. Al decisions are yours to make. I hope and pray for the very best outcome.

No, not necessarily. Even if she gets to a blue number, she will have to be monitored because the numbers can drop again. I could be wrong and I hope I am, but this has all the markings of potentially being a prolonged hypo.

Please confirm what she is eating (HC / MC)? I would also like to confirm you have syringes available for honey or syrup if needed (i.e. 3ml).

I can't stay up too long, but I'm worried. Remember - you need to see a safe number 2 hrs past food influence...

Thank you. I understand. I thank you for your help. I love my Kylee and I know I will see her tomorrow and for a long time.

Please do NOT test one more time and then go to bed. If you're not going to the ER, then please, you NEED to keep testing, keep giving honey, keep reacting as needed to whatever her BG is doing so as to keep her safe. And by that I mean to KEEP HER ALIVE.

Sound dramatic? Yes. Because this can be life threatening quite quickly. I held a friend's cat as he was hypoing and died. His seizures began when his BG was in the low 30's. Meters vary so just because your cat seems ok doesn't mean it will stay that way.

I would fill TWO syringes (no needles) with syrup or honey -- one for syringing syrup into kitty's mouth if she refuses to eat. The other syringe is for a last ditch emergency use if kitty is unresponsive and can't swallow -- in which case you gently and carefully insert the tip of syringe into the rectum and administer syrup that way.

Have you heard the story about the man and the flood? A man lived along a river and massive rains were predicted. Flood warnings and evacuation notices were issued but the man said "I'm going to stay, God will take care of me." The waters rose and water surrounded his house. A rescue boat came by but he refused to leave. "I'm going to stay, God will take care of me," he said. The waters rose even higher and he became stranded on his roof. A rescue helicopter came by to pluck him to safety but again he refused. "I'm going to stay, God will take care of me." As he stood at the pearly gates, he said "God, I trusted you to protect me, why did you let me die?" And God said "I sent you flood warnings, a boat, and a helicopter ... what did you expect?"

The people on this board are sending you warnings, offers of help, and guidance to get your kitty get through this. Please, please listen.

Oh my God, seeing someone apparently sign off like that when their kitty is in such a perilous situation is so intensely distressing...I can only pray that Kylee will be okay.

Renee if you read this, please don't take chances like this with your kitty's safety, particularly with hypoglycemia, it could result in an outcome that you would end up regretting very quickly - it needs continuous physical intervention and action to keep the worst at bay. The people here know what they are talking about and you should really take the advice they give to heart and allow them to help and guide you, because they truly have the best interests for all the kitties here at their hearts. I really am hoping with everything in me that Kylee will still be with you come morning.

I am praying for this kitty today. If our cats could talk to us they would tell us something is wrong. They are like babies who need constant attention and care, god intervenes in mysterious way. These people on here helping could be god's way of helping the kitty

Head's up...

One thing I've learned over the last 12+ years on the board is not to pass judgement until we've walked a mile in someone shoes. Using the internet doesn't always provide enough information to know, see, or understand the whole picture.

Some of these comments are understandable, but are not helpful. I've been up all night on the off-chance Renee posted for help and am too tired to deal with them at the moment. I will be placing them in moderation until moderators decide what to do with them later. Believe me, I understand where they're coming from... thank you in advance for understanding where mine are coming from.
