Look who decided to go into the blues tonight!
I guess that threat to increase, and actual increase, did the trick!

I held steady with her 3.50 U dose tonight.
That dose was increased from 3.25 U on 10/12 (after several days of no real movement), to 3.50 U on 10/13.

Will anyone be around this evening in case I need some coaching?
I think I've got it, though...and I'm not expecting anything too terrible (fingers crossed!).
I'll be testing her at the +2 (9 PM EST), +3 (10 PM) and so on, to see what goes on.
I'll also set alarms and find her to test, no matter where she roams inside the house tonight!

If she goes into the greens tonight, I'll give her some medium carb food...something with gravy, correct?

I suspect she's going to go into the 100 to 150 range, but I'll be surprised if she goes below 100...I know, we never know what's up their sleeves!

It's about time, Tiny!

XOXO, Joanne

Only thing you can know for sure is expect the unexpected.

I'm learning that quite quickly. I'm looking at Tiny's spreadsheet, and thinking that she's inclined to start to decrease her BGs between the +8 mark and the PMPS.
It's a fascinating scientific process to see. I am so happy to have that spreadsheet going!

Finally got below 150 at the PMPS +4 at 11:45 PM.
I gave her about a teaspoon of FF.
I will continue to test and keep an eye on her.
I'll do a +5, etc.
I will only give a medium carb food if she goes below 90.

Tiny decided to go up to 205 at +5, so I'm going to head to bed and will be up at the +8 to check her BG.

I'll update the spread sheet as I go and will post in the AM with more numbers on a new thread.

Sorry I'm late to answer, just about off to bed myself. +2 is a good test to start. If the +2 is quite a bit lower than the preshot, then it'll likely be an active cycle that requires more monitoriing. Note this is for most cats, my girl liked to be different. For me, a +3 was a better indicator. If the +2 is about the same as the preshot, it'll be a normal Lantus cycle with some downward movement. If it's higher, then it's a quiet cycle and a good chance to catch some winks.

As for the greens, we usually save the higher carb for numbers below 68 on the AT. When you first see green it can be helpful to give a couple tsp of regular low carb food, as you did, to encourage them to surf, or hang out in safe greens.
