Where does your baby get their insulin?
For us, 9 out of 10 times is along his flank/belly area. Once in a while his neck scruff.

I usaully in the scruff, just not in the same spot, never tried anywhere else, not sure she would be ok with somewhere else?

My vet taught me to inject into the scruff so that’s the only place I’ve tried. He almost never even notices.

I find on Spot that injecting in the flank tends to get a little better response from the insulin. It’s also easier for me to inject him there while he’s eating :)

Mine's changed a bit - used to be shoulders, but now I have to go a bit lower, the skin won't tent as well anymore due to increased hydration so its between shoulder blade and elbow, when sitting/laying down, and in the back end, between the hip joint and the *dip* - if your baby is laying with their hip cocked off and back legs tucked up abit, find their hip joint with your fingers, then "walk" your fingers 1 - 2 inches towards the curve of their belly. You should fell a "dip". Pinch around there, up towards the spine, down towards the joint more, etc. Within a 2-3 inch radius and you'll find, usually, a really good tent place.

You should feel the resistance of the needle going in - push just a little with your hand, make sure the needle is seated - then slowly plunge. Slowly pull the needle out - keep the skin tented, once the need is out, using your fingers of your syringe hand, rub lightly around where you injected. You should feel NO wetness - slowly let the "tent" go, and lightly rub, pet/stroke the area for a few seconds. Voila!

I’ve noticed that skittles also tends to response better when I inject into his flank versus his scruff area . Also seems to last longer & faster. I never do the same spot over & over.... don’t want scar tissue to develop

Oh you too? Yeah Fena also, for the flank! If you feel around, play around, I've found 3 good injection sites (tents) on each flank and each shoulder-ish region. It's all dependent on high, medium low, for height and 1.5", 2" and 3'5" for horizontal if you play around, depending.
