Taco 10/7 AMPS 158,+2 209.+4 158,+6 150,+8 107,+9.25 105,+11 112, PMPS 104,+1 172,+3 169,+5 146,

Nice to see more blue.

The aim is to get him into normal numbers, 50-80 with humna meter.
So.... though I sure like those blues a lot better if you do not see green tonight if it were me I'd be tempted take the dose up in the morning. You could hold on for 8cycles if you want, particularly if you are faced with a dropping or lower ampa than You've been seeing recently.

Quick question, when was taco diagnosed, was that in augAug 2017? That makes him a long term diabetic, on TR that means that he earns a reduction for 3 drops below 50 on seperate days, Or a single drop below 40. We've found that we need to make it harder for long-term diabetics to earn reductions, so that they hold.
Date of diagnosis is important, I would put it on your signature, as it may, in certain instances affect the advice you get.

@Gill & George , I missed that Taco was previously on ProZinc until you pointed this out.

I agree with Gill about increasing if no greens by the end of tonight's cycle. He sure is looking good and there is NO way you have missed a lower number,LOL. ( from test-a-hoic to another) ;)

Yes, HE was diagnosed in Aug 28, 2017 and started Vet food , one vet agreed he was diabetic , one did not agree, :( He went in for a curve on 9/11/2017 , and the curve was NOT accurate as he would not eat for them,ALPHA TRAC meter used.
7:45am BG 366
food offered-did NOT eat.
9:50am BG 469
12:30pm BG 402
2:25pm BG 290
4:23pm BG 338
Prescribed Prozinc that day 1 Unit every 12 hours
Took Prozinc until 7/24/2018 , asked vet for Levemir, after almost 1 year on Prozinc, he prescribed it against his wishes, said he didnt know anything about it, said to give 1 U once a day, and eat only am & pm.
From there I've been on my own, only with help from FB group and then switched to this group :)
I would like to more or less forget about the Prozinc and treat him as newly diagnosed as of July 25, 2018, but, if that doesnt sound right, then I will follow what my peers here recommend, especially on TR.
I would like to give Taco 8 cycles if possible.
What do you think ? Thanks so much for helping this nervous granny to Taco, Taco's Mom has been sleeping with him the last few days, so I dont know if that has to do with his numbers ? But, he's eating that up ;)

Posted at exact time :) Please read and see if I make sense or not, probably not, and just scared, but, he's getting 24/7 , so easy to keep track and Moriah (mom to Taco) has strict instructions to wake me up for any concerns :):bighug: I will most likely take tonights shift and give her a break, but, I know he likes sleeping with her , so we'll see ;)

He is a long term diabetic since he has had insulin support since August of 2017. I think you would do him a disservice if you tried to reduce him by a "new diabetic" protocol as it could be premature for Taco.

He's a lucky boy to have a loving grandmom and a momma taking such good care of him!

Ok :bighug: Thank you for the support , I'll say long term diabetic. YES! we love him so much, he is my daughters first pet of her own, and she favors him above all other 6 ;) She adopted him at 7 weeks when she was not quite 7 yo. She's 19 1/2 now and loves all these critters, but, Taco is her main man :) He's a very laid back cat and always has been, he knows he rules the home lol and let's the others know. We want him to get better. !! Also his appetite has gone down a lot since his lower numbers and he's getting real picky about what we serve him ,out of his 20 choices, I guess he can afford to get picky if he gets better ;) Thank you and @Gill & George .

So , I made the descision to increase Tacos dose this AM to 2.75 u of Levemir , even tho I was scared with the all new blue numbers. To be continued,on next 10/8 condo. after the +5 146, comes a +8 146, and a +11 149. See SS.
