10/2 jack amps 231,+2 166, +4 96, +5 78,+6 74,+7 65,+7.5 69,pmps 131

Overall we could say that he had a flat yellow cycle last night.
That can, in some cats indicate that they are about to clear the bounce, let's hope that's what we see, so today, if you are able to I would probably try and start by getting a +2/+3 if you find him dropping then you may need to step up the tests to see if you can see how low he is going.
If he's still flat, then if it were me I would get another check mid to late cycle to try and figure out if he is dropping later in cycle.
If you manage to get those extra tests in and you don't see any green, you may want to consider taking the dose up to 1.25.
It's been 9 cycles since you last caught green, though there is a possibility he saw green on the am cycle of 9/29, after this mornings cycle that will have been 6 cycles ago, time for the bounce to have cleared.
This dose is not getting him regularly into the normal range 50-80, the greens he has seen leave you some room to take the dose up. Provided he doesn't make me eat my own words and give you a nice low cycle today.

+2 was 166. Will test again at +4

Gorgeous cycle.:D:D:D

Typical FD cat response to the issuing of a dosectrease threat.
He's let us know that he'd like to stick to this dose for now ( unless he drops below 50).

Sorry for late response, was out at yoga and then dinner with DH, time for bed now.

Great surf CPT Jack.:D:D:D

Hi there dear Angela,

Since im kind of a newbie here, could i ask you if you did give insulin shot or not to Mr. Jack after seeing that PMPS:131. I'm little confused if we should give the insulin despite the BG is under 150 mg/dl. Thank you.

Hi there, Angela and Jack are using Lantus and following the Tight Regulation (TR) Protocol. Here's the link
http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/tight-regulation-protocol-tr.1581/
With this method of dosing one gradually, increases the dose and eventually you learn to shoot lower, George was on Lantus and I followed TR, with the help of the members on this board I learnt to shoot anything above 50mg/dl (on a human meter).

Have you started your kitty on insulin yet? What insulin is it? (different methods for different insulins)
Perhaps you could start your own thread, so you can ask all the questions you need to and keep all the responses in one place. There's a lot of experience on this board and a lot of folk who are very generous with their time, don't be afraid to post and ask any question at all, there's no such thing as a silly question.

I look forward to seeing you on the board. Welcome:bighug::bighug::bighug:
